No. Its called having a nice sized savings account. I worked in Florida for a year making 2200 a week after expenses. Then I worked in Houston for about 8 months making 2500 a week after expenses. That was within the last five years. In between that I was making $400 a week after taxes for 32 hours of baking some bread. Honestly, most cars at the track are like Wes, and on edge. If they change something, it could hurt them more than help. So its a toss up to whether they can make it run better with a jet change. I will say the car didnt go straight on either pass, but from what I understand, it never does. lol

A bigger nozzle? Retune? A turbo car can make more power per cubic inch than a nitrous car. The tune and nozzle (whatever that is) aren't going to make a difference. So in the absence of a rule book to make things equal, it is easier to run just nitrous cars. The turbo cars can have their own race.

My car has nowhere near 300 because of the stock block. I cant out power Zac, and that's a given. It may be close, may be ugly, but im not wanting to ruin any chances I may have against other people. There's a reason there's a "bump" spot in the low 5s with "no boost" cars, and the bump for cars with boost is a 4.8ish....Boost will phuck nitrous cars up built on an identical platform. Me and Zac arent on the same platform, so that's not even an option.

You're right, I am trying to learn, and you are the self-proclaimed expert. I understand how nitrous works. You are the one claiming you can't run a bigger shot. All I asked was, "Why not?" And you haven't explained your claim.

If the cam isn't setup for the amount of nitrous your trying to force into the motor it will be a waiste of time and money. You want see any gain in et. Not to mention that if the converter isnt setup for it you will start blowing through the converter.

However, my original statement was alluding more to the point of this: All things being equal (meaning each car is properly built to withstand 1,000 HP, i.e. the nitrous car has the appropriate cam and supporting mods, which in this case it doesn't) I don't see why a 1,000 HP nitrous car couldn't beat a 1,000 HP turbo car at the same race weight and the same approximate power curve.

from what i saw, during some test and tune runs, both cars had trouble spining at the line. zac was there earlier and left shortly after i arrived, then the big crash... after that i babied my coolant pissing bitch home..

Next thing I know the white flying bird was loaded up. Shortly afterwards the flying bird was out of the gate. And than I saw the green slowstang make some more passes.

It was big mike who wrecked. I just did some tuning on it for him cause it was running like shit. First pass out on the new tune up and it was on the bumper past the 60ft on horsepower. When it came down it was heading towards the center line and then he tried to save it but it was to late it was headed straight for the wall. It grinded on top of the wall for about 50-100ft then it caught on fire. Mike was fine. It needs a new oil pan, anti roll bar, transmission pan maybe a transmission, front right suspension, and front right side of the body. I'm about to go take a better look at it so we can decide if he is gonna fix it or put everything on another chassis.
