Yes that was the one.

ShawnBoyMoody 07-01-2012 11:26 AM

HYHD. Another new best with the FEF at Bowman yesterday. That converter I got from Luckie really woke the car up. Even in that REDONKULOUS heat yesterday and with a track that was less than stellar (street tires had the track tore up) I was able to shave a 10th off the 60 ft and dropped from a 7.68 to a new best of 7.46. Still trapping about 94 so I'm tickled! :cheers

The slip.

Fastest it ever went on motor was 7.87. This car eclipsed that time with a 7.75 first time out and its heavier.

Bradleyrj 07-01-2012 12:51 PM

That convertor made one helluva change SBM. Glad to hear this is workin out for yo.

Thanks Halicious. Im so happy with the car, I just cant say enough. We hot lapped the shit out of the car yesterday and it just went quicker and quicker. Took it off the trailer at SSS and flogged the shit out of it some more. Besides the no AC part Id have no issue driving the car anywhere in the country. Its been so reliable and runs cool as a cucumber.

2001hawk 07-01-2012 01:06 PM

Good job Shawn. We had a really good run a couple of weeks ago. Glad to see yours is still running strong. You might have the right plan/ seem to avoid the ford/ GM cars breaking at the same time since your car is a hybrid. LOL

ShawnBoyMoody 07-01-2012 01:08 PM

Lol thanks. I am starting to worry about these rockers though. Need that trunion upgrade!

So what happened to this red coupe u had?

Bradleyrj 07-02-2012 10:03 AM

Sold / traded off, right in front of the Lightning, TBSS, and something else I think he had in between...

SBM... I think your next investment should be some tires bro. I think with the right tire (maybe need a wider rim) and making the suspension work with that convertor now its got way more in it n/a.

Matts94Z28 07-02-2012 10:32 AM

Check out muh new swap.

You're going to need a power adder Matt.

I traded it off when I got starry-eyed by a certain black TBSS. Epic fail but I'm coming back with a vengeance. :bigthumb:

I think it does have a little bit more in it, but eventually it becomes a mathematical equation how fast 357 hp can push 2900 lbs down the eighth. By the calculators I've used I'm already going quicker than I should be. As far as tires go I was able to stick it when I did proper burnout so they are getting it done for now . They definitely aren't gonna be sufficient on spray later on. I actually need rims AND tires on the car and that would drop alot of weight getting rid if these heavy street rims. I think im gonna ease off the track time until it cools down though. No point flogging it in this heat.

That means either you have less than 2900#'s or more than 357 hp but I wouldn't put much trust in dyno numbers or online calculators. :bigthumb:

Youre right. It may be a little lighter and making a little more power.
