Ryan if you or shawnboy need a stand I've got a cornwell with 4 casters alot more stable than the ones with 3 that hasn't seen the light of day for a while... either of you are welcome to use it.

03SVTCOBRA 12-03-2011 07:41 PM

I was going to buy one tomorrow since shawnboy is going to need his. Will you be around town tomorrow?

PapaBear 12-03-2011 08:04 PM

Got an autozone ad in the mail today. They have a Duralast stand for $59 until Monday.

I saw this also, im probably just going to pick one up for that price... Hell i can resell it on CL after for $50.

BigdaddyDupree 12-03-2011 09:34 PM

I got Oreillys to price match their acdelco stand to harbor freight. 39.99. And also the acdelco 2ton engine hoist. 179.00

gearmesh, inc. 12-03-2011 09:44 PM

Watch out........A Ford engine might not fit on that AC Delco engine stand. If it does, it might be bad ju-ju! :hysterical:

On a more superstitious note, it sure is weird that when someone offers to lend out their engine stand, their own engine gives up soon afterward.

Must be Voodoo! :hail:

What year block is it? And what is the Bore?

ShawnBoyMoody 12-04-2011 09:55 AM

69 block .060 over

Bradleyrj 12-04-2011 12:30 PM

Keep the setup you have now. Through some new bearings in and do the swap to run on corn.

ShawnBoyMoody 12-04-2011 01:40 PM

Its not likely that the rod in question or crank is any good. Its knocking like hell.

Whaler 12-04-2011 02:24 PM

Sorry to hear about you mota. Now you get to build it your way. :bigthumb:

Bradleyrj 12-04-2011 02:45 PM

If it comes apart... Check the deck height. I might be interested in the block for future if its not been shaved a ton. I'll still need to keep compression low.

Darryl Buckner 12-04-2011 03:06 PM

Sorry to hear it, figured the 5 speed would check out before the motor...

ShawnBoyMoody 12-04-2011 03:28 PM

Thanks D. Sometimes I think folks gather around betting against me.....lol
