Did you weld the TQ converter?

It wouldn't have mattered. You would think it would, but it wouldn't.

I also would have pooped myself.

That was a tough 24 hour period for trucks. No body got time for slinging fluids on hot headers!

Glad she/you/everyone there is alright.

We are hell aint we rob? Converter broke in 2 pieces

bambooi 03-15-2013 03:19 PM

Sucks this happened to your new ride, but it doesn't sound too costly.

That was wild for sure. Luckily it wasn't during the regular dyno day with a shop full of people. I hope to see that truck back on the rollers soon, was making a bunch of power before the breakage.

Blower slut 03-15-2013 04:54 PM

Carlrx7 03-15-2013 05:14 PM

Did the converter try to lock or something?

Its going back on very soon, probably with more boost and meth injection, i feel it will be an easy 600/700 truck and mid 10s

That was crazy to say the least. Twas an eventful night!

spdracr0 03-15-2013 10:09 PM

Those huge fireballs can be really disorienting, mine have been nitrous induced when the car got a bad case of the hook or was a lil down on power....it is actually amazing how far you can pitch a carb that was originally bolted to the intake

Bradleyrj 03-16-2013 08:28 AM

So was the convertor folks held responsible? Did they fix it right?
