I'll definitely post more when the car is done. Still have a lot to do. Removing the transaxle now to build the trans, new converter and swap to a C6Z diff. Will install the fuel system while the transaxle is out and still need to put the Ray Ray ported heads on. Grand Sport fenders are getting painted right now and have to decide on what wheels to run.

What kind of power numbers are you expecting? Car is going to look and sound sick with those fenders.

I'd like to get 750 at the wheels to start off. Don't know if I can do that without meth though.

Just wanted to give an update. After having issues with the 4l65 30 spline output shaft (needed for the C6Z Diff) and deciding to rebuild the torque tube I finally started re-assembling everything.

The front planetary gears fit really loose on the output shaft. You can see the significant play in the video. The shop I purchased it from said it would be ok, but after discussing it with Gerald I decided to send it back.

<iframe width="640" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/UTmNnKVHVYk?feature=player_detailpage" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Here you can see the splines on the aftermarket shaft (Left) compared to the the stock shaft (Right) and Gerald said it looks like they were cut too deep.

I called 10-12 other trans shops and nobody had one. RPM was waiting on their manufacturer with no ETA and no guarantee they would have an extra. After checking with RPM for a couple of weeks I called Rossler and they had one left in stock.

So, here is the Gerald built 4l65E with the elusive 30 spline output shaft & the adapter plate for the c6Z diff. I finished bolting them together tonight and the driveline is ready to go back in the car.

Rebuilt the torque tube this past weekend with new bearings and polyurethane couplers. and have to give a huge thanks to Ray for helping me out. Couldn't have got it done without him and I'm glad I didn't catch a craftsman wrench in the face lol.

One last pic of the Grand Sport widebody kit I had painted by Bennet's in Bonneau. They did a great job on painting the front/rear fenders and front bumper cover.

Been busy with school, but have been able to get some work done lately. Finally got it off jackstands tonight and sat the fenders on it to see how it looks. Getting close!!
