He had the car dyno tuned by a shop in Jacksonville (or close to it).

Who was this? You can PM me if you don't want to post it.

Just for general knowledge, the Predators, or a CMR tune for that matter, has little to no control over the transmission functions on the HEMI cars. They use a seperate TCM that very few companies are able to support, yet. Diablo, SCT, etc.

Got some serious offers showing up on the the table... If you're interested, ante up... I don't think it'll last another weekend...

exactly, the Nova was fairly cheap, but we never had time to go RACE it, and since it was not really DD anymore, we just sold it.

FWIW, leave the Cam in it.
any car, is just a car. unless it makes BIG numbers (which it could with the cam & tune)
i can think of no one who would rather have the smaller cam.
most folks on here will buy the car, carry it to Robert, then to a dyno shop.

a shop in columbia does mustangs, and they SHIFT LIKE CRAP.
another local shop did a Predator in a buddys Charger last week, and it will not shift WOT

so, not all "tuners" are knowledgeable of the best tranny parameters.

i sent my wife a link to this page.....:hide:

what is the name of the shops you mention doing bad work? i would like to know so i don't go there not knowing and get bad work done for good money.

My offer was serious,5500 cash. I'm not going any higher though, so disregard if you have better.

He has had several serious offers, it seems like he is sitting back and waiting for the perfect situation.

If you're not overly interested in trading down, you might want to pull that out of the original thread.

Sale Pending..

I talked to him for awhile, and here is what i understand:

the car idles & runs fine.

when you slow down from speed,
it will not drop back down to a smooth idle.

you have to brake it down to a stop, and the engine takes a while to settle at a good idle.

I think he revved the motor, shut it off while not at idle
disconnected the battery, and the IAC was not a a "idle" position.

and when he put the new cam in & hooked up the battery, he just plopped the IAC back on.

so either the IAC is not in a "known" location by the ECM,

the TPS is misadjusted,
or the set screw for the throttle blade is holding the throttle open a bit.

either way, i think it's quick job to diagnose with a multi meter or code scanner.

and the tranny is prolly $200 at most to fix, drop pan, drop valve body, find whatever is misaligned,
new fluid, new filter, and away you go.

Sounds like it needs a tune but you could try reseting the IAC. My car does the same thing but I have a 6spd so slowing down isnt as bad. My IAC is new and on zero. My car idles at 1500 when rolling to a stop and about 5 to 10 seconds after I come to a stop it idles down to the set idle speed.
