didnt watch the game but im an eagles fan to.. i think ive caught 2 of their games all season.. such a let down.. all the money and big name players and nothing to show for it.
only thing i can think about it they cant put their ego's aside long enough to work as a unite/team and really accomplish something.
vick may be singled out as a qb and late hits.general abuse delivered/allowed but in the end its his line men who let people get to him to fast. you cant really compare brady and them to vic in that sense... they actually allow a pocket to develop and their line seems to give them a few extra seconds to execute a play. vic was always a scrambler and would generaly take off running when things colapsed around him.. with this offensive/qb coach they have him holding the pocket and taking the hit..
vic has always been better at running it out of a colapsing pocket and making yards and generally running out of bounds or sliding in for yardage than letting it colapse and loss of yards.
ossamo(spelling) was suppose to come in and close down his side of the feild.. from everything ive herd on espn he has failed to be able to do this..
the coverage mid feild past he line is committing to fast.. not reading the audible/cover man. once you buy into a run your allowing to many gaps to pen for the 5+yd gains.. shut down the mid feild and you have the long balls and the run game left. id rather have a team forced to pund the ball thru the line or run to the outside or the quickdrawl pass than have them hitting men on shot drops and hook back passes. hell allow a hole and funnel the pay the way you want it.. dont over commit and allow the team to keep you scrambling on reads...
its not all the head coach.. he may be lacking somethings but he has put teams with less well known players in the big show or close to it very frequent.. at some point you need to evaluate the players and say ur not pulling your weight/money.
well i missed another game this week but im sure it was a bitter loss..
