The average person doesnt know WTF that means.

adamcs 11-08-2011 12:40 PM

Im sure im not the only one that notices this but i love how when i go somewhere say a gas station, people look at me like im some kind of criminal or something because of my car, people are ignorant and there is nothing anybody can do to change that.

They probably have no idea how many lives are saved by race tracks, pulling it off the streets either. We had to hold up white sheets Sunday cause Live 5 News got turned around at the gate, and they wouldn't let them in, and the EMT's were afraid they would be filming from over the fence with high powered lenses. Thats rediculous, and not the time for pictures. Show some respect for heaven sake..

So arguing with them would be a losing battle and they would never understand where your coming from while continuing to live their non existent ignorant self centered lifes.

Like Gerald said "If I don't like the station I change the channel." These people need to learn that and stop trying to make others conform to their beliefs and opinions. Because regardless of what they say this accident will only bring all of us closer.

Now Chris your trying to use logic here. Just remember how the local print media thinks. It was also very dissapointing reading all the posts on YB last night. I understand people speculating, but they were not there and don't have a clue as to what happened. I walked down that track after the accident and had to curl my toes to keep my shoes on. It was that sticky all the way down. I just feel very bad for Barry's family and for Rob and Tara who have to live with this. My prayers still go out to all of them.

I completely agree these people have no clue how many lives are saved by the track providing us with a safer place to race.

Ive also been in the position of having to hold up a sheet while the coroner identified the victim of a tragic accident so onlookers/media/family wouldn't gather and there is nothing enjoyable about it.

If you read a lot of the comments on other stories you'll realize it's the same idiots commenting all the time. They know nothing about the situation and just spew their crap. Make one well written, factual comment and then don't waste anymore energy on it. Some people are just ignorant and have too much time on their hands. Energy is better used on prayers and support to the people effected.

clubracergt1 11-08-2011 01:39 PM

I had to comment over there. It's really sad how some people don't realize what is truely important, and simply want to place blame.

No need in bringing yourself to his level. I wouldn't even dignify anything "Early" has to say with a response. Coincidentally even if "Early" was on fire I wouldn't piss on him.

KRYPTONITE 11-08-2011 01:47 PM

hell no if he was on fire and I had a Glass of Water.... I would Drink it!!!!!!!

There are Some Cold Hearted People out there!!!! How do they Sleep at Night

I try not to let what others say hurt my feelings, especially people i dont know on the internet. But his comment really messed me up. I made Tara stop reading them last night.

Keep your heads up and dont let those ignorant fools get you down. Very few of us actually know what its like to be in your shoes right now.

Sometimes I feel there is a little too much freedom of speech in this country. People have lost all sense of what is right and what is wrong.....no sense of decency or respect for others.

IMHO theres no such thing as too much freedom of speech.

Its the power of the internet and cause by anonymity. These are the same people who wouldnt dare say these things to your face.

I agree with this. It's a great thing to have freedom of speech. But, the internet has created a method for spineless people to talk their trash with no repercussion or debate. I bet if you get toe to toe with a lot of those negative people they would cry and couldn't back anything they say up.

Ya'll don't get to worked up over the P&C crap. Then they win.

Maybe people should just adhere to "Just because you can say or do something doesn't mean you should."

Freedom of speech protects the right of a citizen to speak out against his or her government without fear of retaliation. It does not give people the right to spew false and slanderous accusations. That's all I'm saying.

Agreed. That's why I like the old editorials in the printed paper. No address no print. You were putting yourself at risk if you ran your mouth too much you might get a visit!

Good point. A lot of the world has lost that "Just because" skill.

Again. My heart goes out to all involved even though I don't know anyone involved. I just can't get over how random and tragic that accident was. Puts life and racing in perspective.

BigHemi 11-08-2011 05:02 PM

I have not posted on here in a while, but I'm just now learning what happened. I have not been on Yellowbullet since last week.
Just wanted to send my condolences to both of the involved families. I can't imagine what Tara is going through. All I can say is just remember it was an accident. Take care and keep your head up.

They took the comments section down last i saw. Better off with no comments that the idiodic ones comeing from some of those people. Also there was a tv news story and you can tell they were trying to make stuff up because they didnt have a story (Thanks to the track not letting them in to film that night) The news lady looked to be on heavy medication because she couldnt even read the telepromter. The news seems to always make things much worse...

I filed a complaint with p&c about the slanderous comments and hate speech that was being promoted. I hope they got the point.

Yea I had all the news channels calling me yesterday wanting a story from me. I never talked to them. It's crazy how everbody is trying to blow this thing up. Makes me sick

Red99T/A 11-08-2011 09:24 PM

Wow, I have been super busy this week and haven't been on to check out CHP until today. Yesterday one of my coworkers said something about a bad wreck at Dorchester over the weekend and I thought nothing of it. It happens. Its part of racing. Then when I sat down with the paper this morning and saw the story my heart sank. I have been trying to come up with the right words to say all day, and I still haven't found them. Tara and Rob, I am so sorry. From what I have heard Tara is not hurt (physically) and I hope that is true. I'm sure the emotional pain is awful, but we are all here to support you. It always seems like the worst things happen to the best people. If you guys need anything you know I'm right around the corner. I don't think I ever met Barry, but by all accounts he was a great guy. My thoughts and prayers go out to Tara, Rob and all involved.

I love posting on P&C and I love hiding behind a name. A lot of people that I know that have professional jobs would get in trouble for posting what they put. It gives people a voice without having to be afraid of repercussions. With that said, people are getting upset because unfortunately this time the article is about someone close to us. Guys, don't let some comment on the internet get you upset. In the end, everyone knows the truth. No need to sweat it.

I agree. Thanks Colin. I tried to sneak around and park so I could walk back down for some support, but the cops were consistently telling me and Marcus to leave, so when I pulled around and parked again, he came up that way too. So I said stfu to the moronic badge holder and left.
