after I calmed down, that is exactly what I said....got out and saw the driver side and was OK with it, then saw the passenger side and said a bad word.

You and Ian have matching speed dimples

ShawnBoyMoody 06-29-2012 05:05 PM

That's pretty funny there Mr Hal.

Still drive that shit man. Adds to high speed stability. The women love it.

LXtasy 06-29-2012 05:23 PM

Bitches love speed dimples

blubyu87gt 06-29-2012 05:38 PM

True story. All the fast cars are getting them.

Rattletrap 06-29-2012 10:14 PM

I will have to someone look to see if the frame is OK. If so we prob just ride out! If not who knows.

Your Fupa is going to hurt when I see you.

I had 20PSI in the tires and went 7.8 @90 off the trailer forgetting to shift DOH. Hot lapped it and got the shifts alot better to a 7.5 @ 95 with a 1.77. It was spinning so I knew there was more in it. I sat and watched a few cars and went back and lowered the pressure to 15 hoping it would stick...it did! felt good but noticed it was going left so I pulled it back to the right and I felt it get twitchy and then it goes L R L OH SHIT theres the wall...this is going to HURT....Right maybe I am OK and not going to hit the wall BAM...
Looked at it this AM, I believe it got the frame, got door gap that wasnt there before. Rear end looks like its cambered on one side.
SO, I am going to park it in the garage and chill out and sort things out.

Harry 06-30-2012 09:48 AM

Man, hate to here that. Atleast you were able to keep it from taking a hard hit and you are ok.

Rattletrap 06-30-2012 09:56 AM

yep, it could have been alot worse!
I will take to a frame shop to see how bad it is, gap now btwn the door and B-pillar that was not there before.

Harry 06-30-2012 10:41 AM

I don't know how much time you have in the car, but it sucks either way.

Sorry to hear you tagged the wall. Even though it doesn't sound like you had much money in it, still sucks.

On the launch? or when it hit?
Either way I got to figrue out what the issue is.
Mounts being pulled out would explain the way the rear end looks like it sits now which didnt hit anything, too far back and if they pulled out on one of the previous runs that would explain why car didnt act like I thought it would but I did get pretty far out of the groove trying to drive it....

Stable 07-02-2012 03:49 PM

launch....it causes them to wiggle real bad....Mine did it at ATL many years ago.....If I had been at a smaller track it would have been in the wall...theres only a few spot welds that holds the upper mount in
