And the latter is bullshit, plenty of proactive things they could do and be agressive about, there's a difference between tactful and a napoleon/god complex.

Shit, I think tint is up there on the list of necassary tickets. I have very illegal tint, and if I get a ticket, I deserve it. A cop walking up to blacked out windows that keep them from seeing what's inside is no fun I'm sure. I'm not waiting on them with a gun behind the glass, and you aren't either, but there are a ton of N Charleston shitbags out there that are! I'm actually suprised there aren't more tint tickets written. (knock on wood)

I'd love to hear what ya'll would say if you got stopped for no tag light!

Tint does not stop someone from having a gun in their lap and doing the same thing, you can hide anything regardless. You could have someone laying in the back seat if you have one and pop up with a shotgun as the officer walks up. The result is the same if there is intent, and no tint on windows does not and will not make them any safer.

What will make them safer is finding the bad people beforehand. You can make the same argument about gun control, the principal is all the same. All you do is un-arm law abiding citizens, and arm criminals.

I've got stopped for no tag light, I took my ticket. If my junk was stolen I'd want the lights working so an officer who was actually trying to do his job could see to run my tag to find its stolen.

I can't argue this point with you if you really think that being able to see into a car is not any safer than NOT being able to see into a car. Really?

They cant see what may be in your lap or back seat till its too late regardless, tint has nothing to do with it.

Damn you got a ticket for it? Lol, that's pretty rough, I was kinda being a smartass when I said that and it was also a little bit of an inside joke.

Obviously you don't live in goose creek.

dkbmxer002 03-26-2013 04:24 PM

I've been pulled over in goose creek for no seat belt when I had it on. I think that's the only time I've been pulled over that I've cursed or been an asshole.

Wow a thread actually got deleted on CHP... that's a first. I thought it was policy not to delete threads here.

Ive been drawn on in goose creek, the only thing i was doing was going to a junkyard in a bad neighborhood.

Its so bad If I get pulled over in goose creek I stick both my hands out the window and grab the mirror so they can see them when i get stopped That way I don't get a gun in my face.

Wait wait wait wait.
You stick your hands out the window so the officers can see them, and know you are not a threat-
BUUUUTTTT, you don't think tint that they can't see through is a problem.

I was driving my daughters Honda that had no tint.

dkbmxer002 03-26-2013 04:39 PM

I always put my flashers on, roll my windows down, turn the car off and keep my hands on the wheel until they approach. I see no reason to do otherwise.

I stick my hands out the window regardless of what I'm driving, they come up with a better attitude.

WWhittle 03-26-2013 04:46 PM

I roll my windows down. Probably because the last 3 times I have been stopped, it was for window tint and I knew exactly why I was being stopped.

Not deleted, just hidden from all suspected cops until after the court date. Then it will reappear.

Thanks you saved 3 drunk drivers with your tint. If the officer would have cared more about doing his job, he would have found them instead of stopping you for bullshit tint.
