If you just jinxed me and that thing breaks down next week I'm coming for you!

complete 2007 lbz engine turbo to oil pan (not sure i want to sell it though)
lb7 rods
lbz rods
lb7 pistons
lbz pistons
2 camshafts
flexplate
rear cover (i think)
2 sets of timing gears
2 oil pumps
oil pan
drivers side exhaust manifold

Hmmn... those LB7 pistons and LBZ rods could make me a nice mild built engine. As soon as I blow mine up doing the dumb shit I'm doing I might be giving you a call.

42k on this build with zero issues.

Well, I have a cooling fan squeaking when it slows down now, but there's 70k on those fans. :bigthumb:

Damn- not bad at all.

I'm sure the cooling fan squeak will somehow develop into a cracked piston. Happens everytime. GM!!

Brokesmoke, your truck isn't black is it?Seen one this morning on Red Bank Rd.

Lots of companies use other peoples parts on their builds. It's much easier to do it that way for time wise.Diesel Addiction was at Rockingham Dragway this past July 26 when I was there. They seem to be some good folks when I talked to them.LionHeart Diesel doesn't custom build anything I know of,just do repairs and installs on diesels. They do alot of 6.0 PSD work, but take on anything. They have I quote "a 1000hp Cummins 24V" shop truck that the owner has,he's not a mechanic though.Eric Driggers is there mechanic.

Also, why not just go to a compound set up now?Sell the 67mm.Go with a 63mm over a 75-78mm.A 72mm work kinda suck for every day use.Yes,tighting the turbine housing would help but would choke it up in higher rpms. That being said.Stay with a single and run a BD spool flange. The turbine housing would need to be divided on the turbo. This would allow you to run a large A/R turbine but spool it like a small housing. The spool valve flange blocks off one opening on the turbine inlet till set boost opens the valve solnoid. This would allow you to run an 80mm if you wanted to:mrgreen:.Just a thought for you.

No mine is actually Silver Birch- which believe it or not is faster than pewter. :)

Yeah from the few guys i talked to there they were very knowledgeable and able to answer all of my questions without hesitation. I've had multiple 30 minute+ phone conversations with them going over the technical details of what I'm looking for and want done.

I looked long and hard at the compound kits because what what i am spending doing the s400 frame single i could feasibly buy a compound kit with a S475 for about the same price. The biggest thing to me is that it still works off of your stock VVT turbo (which i don't like) and you don't get the same seat of the pants feel as you would a big single vs. compounds. The compound kit has a very lateral power band vs. the big single that will throw you back in the seat when it lights. Also since i work on my own truck where ever i can- adding the second turbo basically takes up the entire passenger side of the engine bay with all of the associated piping and other stuff that would get in the way every time you mess with the engine and is not easily removable which would basically force you to locate your second battery to the frame rail under the truck to any sort of space to work on it under the hood- which i really don't want to do. After all- this will still be my DD and i can achieve the same or better goals running the single vs. the compounds and still make it more fun to drive.

Those BD flanges are the tits BTW. I was contemplating just jumping up straight to a S475 or a S480 as the big charger and running the diverter, but then i realized on a stock engine i would never see the true potential of the turbo anyways as opposed to running something a little smaller and within reason still has more than enough power to pop my engine now yet still fall in a nice sweet spot on a compressor map.

If you own a silver birch vehicle and it's not fast then it MUST be the driver. Plain as that.

If it was pewter then he would be good.

cliff-1972 08-18-2014 03:24 PM

My Colorado is Silver Birch:mrgreen:....................not fast though.

It will run 9.0's in 4wd with just a 150hp tune and exhaust. Still haven't put the lift pump on it.

GreebeanZ28 08-18-2014 03:58 PM

My car will go 5's with more shit done too lol!

It's faster than any other color Colorado. That's what matters.

My best time was a 9 with my 120 tune and lift pump. Pretty significant difference with a lift pump on my butt dyno.

Matts94Z28 08-18-2014 04:12 PM

I know mine has some 8's in it for sure.

I'm down for that. I've been considering doing a track rental over the winter, so we could set it up then. I know of at least 8 trucks that would enter.
