Would you guys be more inclined to call the officer wrong?

I still call the officer wrong. The "victim" apparently has way of pushing the limits of the law. It hasn't always worked out in his favor.

This is true. It is appalling that an officer would act in that manner. Period. I think it's crazy how they guys on yellow bullet try to put the blame on Chad (not that he is totally innocent). Just imagine if they would have caused a large accident.

Better yet, I wonder if the officer would have tried to pin it on him if there were no video.

Both were wrong. The officer should have kept his cool, but he is human. There is no denying that Chad was the insitgator, but the officer should not have done what he did- no doubt. What that video doesn't show is Chad's middle finger when he passed the officer....

In my opinion, if you keep going around asking for someone to punch you in the face, sooner or later someone is going to do it. Just because you got a black eye and videotaped it doesn't automatically make you the victim.

To me, the 911 call just shows that he is being a smartass.

REDRAGTOPRS 03-22-2013 02:09 PM

The charleston thuglife link that matt posted did not feature chad anywhere. Can someone post a link to this dude's rap sheet? :bigthumb:

Exactly.

The fact that he is a convicted thief and forger is beside the point.

Culpepper is a Marine with 20 years of service so he's probably not used to standing down either.

Nailed it.

I think its appalling for ANYONE to act like the officer did. There will always be people like Chad out there, and if you ignore them they usually go away. Nobody can just let anything go anymore

ForceFed4g63 03-22-2013 02:22 PM

So he was able to record the whole thing, give the cop the finger, and change lanes at the same time? That's impressive.

That's exactly how I see it. I don't think the officer should be fired/resigned but he should have been charged with reckless and reprimanded.

If he had been charged and found guilty with a serious traffic offense, it would most likely gotten him fired anyway.

Chad likes to walk a fine line.

DIGGLER 03-22-2013 08:51 PM

if he gave the cop a bird he's a dickhead. just drive around him, go about your business, and stfu.
cop was a dumbass for brake checking. thats just completely stupid.

Mustangscotty 03-22-2013 09:48 PM

I say the cop did the difficult thing and quit his job. Maybe the cop had his own rap sheet at the department he worked for? Regardless, the cop should have stuck it out and sucked it up. Now his career is at an end. Though he acted out, the act of quitting his job means that he also accepted responsiblity for everything. Though not all the facts are known, at least someone did the right thing.
I wonder what the local police said to Chad after the 911 call ended?? I bet there's a lot more going on here than anyone knows.

The video doesn't show what led the cop to act out in the first place. Did Chad act out before he hit the record button? Given the fact that the cop quit his job over this mess, Chad knows that's the green light to take full advantage of what happened. If I had a rap sheet like Chad's, I may hold a huge grudge for the police. Given what was said on Charleston Thuglife, its easy to type this.

Better make sure those with redline stickers don't act fool either...

MonteC 03-27-2013 06:15 PM

I was brake checked twice by a Berkeley county cop. Then he pulled me over, said I was following him to closely. I didnt think I was. Seemed like a reasonable distance to me.
