So is mine.

I think this could be alot of fun if everyone would relax a little and just have a good time. The rules are there, but I think everyone is capable of being reasonable and knowing what is pushing it, and what isn't.

I look forward to watching from the fence.

So where's your 7 sec timeslip? Your shit hasn't been to the track since the new setup. besides, you have to drive, no driver mod allowed.

The car may be able to go 5's but the driver can only go 8's. GMFG

Me to, from the starting line..:bigthumb:

It should be entertaining to watch/compete for sure. I was just stirring the pot a little to get things exciting and draw some attention. ;)

bwelch 02-24-2010 04:19 AM

You can take me off the list if we are racing at bowman. I dont want to drive my car to BFE and then beat the shit out of it like a remount road hooker. And then drive it back from BFE. Towing isnt cheap from that far out.

BigHemi 02-24-2010 08:32 AM

91notch...all kidding aside, even with the true street rules you suggested, a car like Wes' would still be legal to run, or should I say kill everybody else on the list. If he and Steve Jackson want to come out and kick our asses, then by all means, I'd love to see it.

What I'm saying is that no matter what rules you have, someone COULD show up with a combo set on kill and clean house. But the fact is that noone with a car of that caliber is gonna do that for a race like this.
Just for example, why eliminate Kenny Mcdonald from racing in this deal? From what I gather, he has a big tire back half car that is more of a street car than a lot of people's stock suspension cars.

Alright, I'm tired of arguing. I haven't been on the track yet this year so I'm getting very anxious to get this thing started and have some fun.

yawn. i figured you had it off jackstands. but i guess your car is scared of anything but dyno racing that it thinks its safe to go back in hiding

Mike 02-27-2010 11:35 AM

I'm excited to see how this new list will work out. Thanks to Ray, Larry, and Chip for putting this thing together, and also to all the sponsors. Hopefully we get to some good races. :bigthumb:

Just remember this is all for fun.

wade w 03-04-2010 11:53 PM

I just saw the new rules. I only have a problem with one. We havent had carpet in the car in years. I do have carpet for it but havent wanted to put it in it. Because it has holes in the floor and we do drive it in the rain. I can throw it in the back when we race if that would be OK.

You're going to need to put carpet in the car if you want to run the TDL. Some universal carpet for the auto parts store is cheap.

So slicks are good but carpet is an issue? That car is a street car period. How about no big blocks over 420 ci. and just need registration and insurance.

Thats stupid. Slicks are ok but no carpet isnt. I think if he is willing to trailer his car from savannah to Bowman to participate then the carpet roll up in the trunk should be ok.

Pesce Nero 03-10-2010 01:50 PM

how could a few simple rules be such a huge problem?

:boohoo: bwelch...You're bitching about rules for a race you aren't even running?! Maybe you're doing the right thing and staying on the porch.

1200 driveshaft
700 axles
600 inner stubs
600 outer stubs

3100 just to make my independent rear not break. I dont have money like that right now. I would race my car on stock drivetrain at dorchester since the tow would be 100 or so. But a tow from bowman aint cheap and everybody I know with a car trailer is on the TDL. And I for some reason am gonna play nice over your comment dick head

chrisheltra 03-10-2010 02:15 PM

Must be getting closer to race day. lol

IMO... your rules are screwed up. you need tags and insurance to race but a non DOT tire is allowed. I think let every car run even drag cars how they sit if they want too. A slower car driven to the track can still win because it gets a win for driving to the track. You could rotate between Bowman and Dorchester since over 3/4 of the list has to pass Dorchester to get to bowman.

Also if you cant take constructive criticism then come lick my blooding vagina fags...

how different is an ET Street to a ET Drag tire?

a little carpet on the floor to make an interior look complete is not to much to ask for "street car rules"

Bowman is giving us lanes to work out of, only $10 to get in and will change the tree.

Dorchester is not open either and i was told last night its being repaved so i dont know when it will be open.

also, all you do is complain over and over and over

AverageJoe 03-10-2010 04:34 PM

My only beef with the rules is the way the list is ranked. I think it would be better if the tdl was determined by times ran on the tdl race days or maybe a points system, instead of people on the list having to call out each race. For example, lets say you make it out on the first tdl day and finish the day top dog. Awesome, right?

Then, the next race day you get called out by everyone on a day you have to work. Now you have dropped to last, just because you couldn't make it.

Next thing you know we finish the season with MonteC and his Akra Intugra as top dog because maybe he was the only one to show up for the last race or someone broke.

Now this isn't really a big deal to me, since I am painfully slow and would finish last whether I made every race or not. I just think it would be cooler if at the end of the season, the top dog was the fastest car that went to some of the tdl races.

I'm not going to defend my position on these rules anymore. Don't like em? Then stay home and bitch about it. Otherwise, come to bowman on the 20th and get some.

This shits funny. The sad thing is that everyone bitches about "too much arguing and bullshit in grudge racing", yet this is more crying, bitching, bullshit and confusion than grudge racing.
