I would never advocate it, but I hear it is great fun to pull in front of a mopeder and empty the windshield washer reservoir.

So I hear.

The reason they are driving a moped is because you dont need insurance, which they cannot get because they just got busted down from a Dewy.. My buddy tried to get insurance, required SR-22 and 2000 for 6 months. fuk that!

Hah. That guy came into our office yesterday wanting to know the penalty for Filing a False Police Report. He told my paralegal that he "only had 3-4 minutes to wait around for an answer".

He didn't get it.

How about when one of those former grade school hall monitors with a Napoleon complex, now turned revenue generators with a gun, can't see over the door edge of the average lifted 4x4? Tint laws would be pretty useless in that scenario.

adamcs 03-28-2013 11:26 PM

What if there were aliens in the car and the tint was so dark that the cops couldnt see in and the alien kills the cop and wears his skin around town and then they have to send will smith and tommy lee jones to try and catch him before he gets to long island and gets away with a space ship

lol it would be a pretty good one, I think I may have found a new career path

I guess I better cancel my moped order.

it is better to drink and drive in an automobile and have people think your a drunk than to drive around on a moped and remove all doubt. :)

The same people that bitch about the cops enforcing "silly laws" are the same people that say "we don't need more laws, we need to enforce the ones we have!!" every time the government wants to take a little more control. Am I right or wrong?
Why don't some of you just admit that you hate cops so bad that you will argue against them no matter how ridiculous your arguement is?

I will never understand the "I hate all cops" attitude.

DIGGLER 03-29-2013 08:49 AM

i dont hate cops personally... there has been some pretty cool cops pull me over in the past. what i hate is getting pulled over 3-4 times a year for petty stuff while trying to get to work in the morning.
forgot to get gas. turn around, get pulled over for turning around.
they installed a "do not turn on red" sign at a redlight... didnt realize it was there since its pitch black at 5am. get pulled over for running a redlight.
got pulled over for not having my seatbelt on yet 1/2 mile from my house lol
got pulled for tag out of date by a couple days
came home early from work so i could get somewhere before they closed. passed the school during school hours. i never pass by there that early in the day, so i didnt think about it. got pulled for going 35 in a 25 or some crap. (nowhere near the kids)
got pulled for no seatbelt on the interstate. lol
thats just the stuff in the last 2 years or so that i can remember. there has been alot more. i constantly get pulled over around here. most of the time it is my fault, and i am indeed doing something wrong. but its normally just petty stuff and annoying when you just want to get to or home from work. i've even adjusted my route to avoid the cops in this small town.

Agreed. They are necessary and for the most part they are good peeps. There are a few bad eggs of course, but that will be the case regardless of what group of people we're talking about.

I really do think the tint laws are silly, just my 2 cents though. Why are limos allowed to have tint but not other cars? Do they think that no one in a limo will ever pose a threat to any cop ever? What about the vans that don't even have windows? You could have 6 dudes with automatic weapons sitting in the back and the cop would never know walking up to the vehicle. The inconsistencies are what gets me.

I will say I have had nothing but bad experiences with Hanahan cops, I think I've been pulled over by all of them at some point or another, and every one has had an unbelievable God complex.

DIGGLER 03-29-2013 09:14 AM

well, back in the day, they were saying dark tint was dangerous because you couldnt make eye contact with other drivers. like at 4 way stops or whatever. they didnt place it directly on police safety. they probably changed that story once the blacked out cruisers started getting common.
