Thanks! Yep, this thing has a nice "linear" pull from the bottom. It is a lot of fun.

PapaBear 11-20-2011 12:43 PM

Is this Scott's car?

No, this car is from Alabama, but it looks identical. After this, Scott may want to step up to the forged short block, though. :D

gearmesh, inc. 11-20-2011 12:51 PM

That 2800 converter looks perfect for that combo by studying the torque curve. Awesome!

PapaBear 11-20-2011 12:51 PM

LOL, I haven't talked to him in a while, but last I did, he was really happy with the car and the work done by you guys. But it's never enough.......

Shane361 11-20-2011 12:52 PM

It is a shame though...2.2KB with a little 4.6 are around or just under those numbers and they're 7 years older.

csikx 11-20-2011 01:04 PM

I love the Challenger and used to own a LX platform, but those things are so heavy it takes a lot to put down good times. I assume the 392 will be good competition though. I look everyday to trade my Corvette in on a 08-11 Challenger SRT8, but the stock 1/4 mile times make me sad.

Nice numbers though.

CINDERBLOCK 11-20-2011 01:07 PM

Those lc KB's are fukin sexy!

The converter was a 3800-4000 with his NA set-up and when he decided to go FI, we sent it back to ProTorque for a re-stall. They nailed it. I really like thier converters because they are also really efficient in the "below stall" and the upper RPM areas. Makes them really comfortable on the street.

LadyInRed 11-20-2011 02:18 PM

Very nice!

LXtasy 11-20-2011 02:44 PM

Big increase from the first couple pulls I saw. Good job guys

Shane361 11-20-2011 02:55 PM

I will say this and being a car enthusiast before a Mustang enthusiast it's easy to say...they did a much better job looks wise on it than the Mustang. Never been a fan of ANY Dodge...but that's just sexy! :cheers

trickey 11-20-2011 04:19 PM

You betcha.............

Not really sure this is an apples to apples comparison. Besides, I would imagine they are running a lot more boost to get those numbers out of a 2.2 and I'm not really sure what age has to do with it.

That's exactly what it is:cheers I'm running 17lbs so I'm pushing mine alot harder. I have no doubt at 17lbs with that bigger engine that car would destroy me! :cheers

03SVTCOBRA 11-21-2011 03:39 PM

17lbs isnt that much on the cobra, but it would be alot on that car. I may have missed it, but whats the compression on that motor?

Blue Skunk 11-21-2011 04:00 PM

No pic's?

Our normal low compression 6.1 comes in around 9.0:1 , but his heads had been milled from his NA set-up so this one is roughly 9.5:1.

I have some, just don't have them posted. I'll try to get some up tonight.

03SVTCOBRA 11-21-2011 05:07 PM

Probably can handle more boost easily at that CR. They always come back for more after the initial power shock wears off.

Carlrx7 11-21-2011 05:36 PM

and after he runs into one of them tt vettes.. muahahahah!

blkscls1z 11-24-2011 03:39 PM

Nice numbers. Saw the car at the Dyno day and it looked good with the polished KB!

ForceFed4g63 11-24-2011 04:30 PM

Great numbers! I hate to be a debbie downer but I think those cars are hideous.

Foose04 11-24-2011 06:56 PM

Be a fun car to drive with all that tq down low, hope it's got some meats on it! If I remember right, don't those cars have nice interiors as well?

I had one for all of 48 hours fully loaded R/T.....with the retro package etc....

It was super comfy ride, seats were nice, fit and finish was pretty decent. I would say on par with the G8 GT.

I enjoyed it, but the payment wasn't near what I wanted. Rick Hendrick offered 21k for my Jeep Srt8....but they bought it from me for 27.5k.....weird.

I have to admit the challenger is a sexy car.

Everone has an opinion, and we all know what is said about opinions...........

Whaler 11-25-2011 08:29 AM

Beautiful car. Great job HHP. :bigthumb::bigthumb:

ElecTech 11-25-2011 08:44 AM

Thanks everybody. The customer took the car to the track the first day he got it (after putting his DR on first) so we hope to have some track times soon.

Derek 11-25-2011 10:33 AM

You done changing the oil on that white car?
