Powder coat your current ones to look like #3 if they are your favorite. Might cost you $400 to have it done.

i generally like a simple oem+ look... lots of good stuff here and the prices aren't bad either

If you lower it, the tt2's will look a lot better. Depending on the condition, they could be polished/repaired/powdercoated.

pontiac_boy 07-09-2012 11:30 PM

These pics are not of my car but it is stock so it will need lowered. I may have found a good deal on a set of stock speedlines so I figure if nothing else they will be my spare set. I can't decide what to do with the others. I didn't think about powder coating.

Ws6 with tt2's, lowered with eibach sportlines

pontiac_boy 07-10-2012 03:19 PM

I'll try to get some pics of the wheels on the car now. Maybey then I can get some pointers on cleaning them up.

zr1's were the first wheel that came to mind when i started thinking about new wheels but i can't find them in stock anywhere... maybe by the time i am ready to buy someone will have them... definitely a great looking wheel in my opinion

04ctd 07-10-2012 03:58 PM

I looked at the TT2's he has on the car now.

they are chrome, and pitted very badly, but not all over, just kinda in the valleys near lugs & stuff. kinda like no one ever deep cleaned them, the lips & spokes seem ok at a quick glance

so, the chrome would need to come off, and then they would need to smoothed to do anything,

as is, if he got jiggy with them, they would look good from a few feet away.

FWIW, i would put money elsewhere, and window shop, and look for a crazy deal on what you want, rather than buy something you half like now.

clean up the TT2 on there, lower it, and put on a turbo.

schardbody 07-10-2012 04:33 PM

i was thinking they were polished not chrome. once chrome gets rough throw em away or sell them....
