Very nice. I'm doing something similar with mine.
Stripped PSA lower - $80 Stag Arms complete upper - $500 All I need now is the PSA lower build kit for $130 and I'll be done. Just waiting for it to get back in stock! $710 all in is pretty good I think. |
ya...im thinking im just gonna get a complete upper with 16in 1:7 chromelined barrel...maybe later a lowprofile gas block and free float rail...once i start reloading im gonna build either a .308 or sbr ar15 in 6.8
I have $60 in my psa stripped lower from a friend and got their basic lpk for $40 on black friday. I just need to put it together. I still need a stock and upper as well. What upper does psa have for $320?
16" chromeline barrel 1:7 twist...no bolt carrier group or charging handle...my buddy picked up two of them two weeks ago for him and his dad...the same ones they had listed online for $390

Just finished this one yesterday. Started life as that $799 carbine PSA had. Duracoated myself. All magpul furniture and a no name quad rail I two toned. Think it turned out nice.

Meh, that brings the total to $210, I'll just hold out for PSA's kit for $130. Hopefully it will be back in stock soon.
I don't mind the trigger pull of the Psa trigger...then again I've never felt a nice trigger...
Out of stock again dammit. I checked this afternoon too.
Pm me your number...I check several times a day..I can hit you up if stuff comes in
I'm not savvy on the ar's, so what is a "parts" list that you need to build one? I find it pretty stupid that you can build one third of the price and all you have to do is put it together.
The lower receiver is the only part you need to buy through a dealer. Everything else you can get shipped directly to you. It's a pretty short list:
Lower receiver, complete upper, trigger kit, and stock and buffer tube. You'll want someone to assemble the lower for you though. |
Man up and assemble the lower yourself.
Pfft. Not me, too many things can go wrong.
This was my first build...taped up the receiver so it didnt get scratched...then used tape wrapped vice grips to slowly drive the rolls pins into place...a child could assemble an ar15 lower...takes patience...and a little reading of thread to figure out what to watch for and what to do...
So you can put an entire ar15 together for less than 1k, yet they cost over 2k for a comparable one?
If that's the case, why aren't people buying the stuff and selling them complete for 1500 and make some money? Parts availability? |

So I'm getting in the last pieces for my rifle today. Can anyone recommend a good site/vidio for assembling it? I've never done one before and don't want to eff it up.
