It doesnt look like a $40,000 Misterbitchy Lancer to me either......But, its probably not as quick as the $40,000 Misterbitchy Lancer either...

Matts94Z28 03-18-2013 12:40 PM

Funny how the same stuff you say about people bashing your turd, now applies to you.

I'm not hatin on your lancer, I actually like them. I dont think they are any better than my car, but I would own one, but again, they are much more common, so I would have to find something to do with it, that would makemine stand out from other lancers... You got me wrong, Bro....

Its a Lancer, probably a ralleyart edition, but according to his garage he has over $40,000 into it:
http://www.carolinahorsepower.com/fo...age_view&id=22

The embarrasing thing is, I have probably no more than $5000 in mine. If I had 40K in mine, it would have to launch it from a runway, and put wings on it.

No, you quoted Neal, he doesn't have an Evo.

And if you really think that's a Rallyart in Kiley's garage you have no room to talk about someone not knowing anything about cars. Just sayin.

And not having much money in it isn't very impressive. I have a lot less than you in mine and would probably give you a decent run for your money, and I have a completely stock motor from top to bottom.

Edit: Just looked and if your numbers are still accurate I would definitely give you more than a run for your money lol

slowgreen99 03-18-2013 05:26 PM

I dont have much in mine! ;)

I dont know who kinley is, is that mcompact, or someone else? I'm going off of what mcompact has in his garage on here. Those numbers that were put up on my dyno sheet were old baseline numbers. That was with mostly stock setup, with the old T9 trans/3 pc driveshaft. I havent ran with my new setup, which should be much higher.

What is that...like 30-35K in today's inflation (20 years later)? I bought my Evo NEW at 34K. With Coilovers, several sets of tires (part of that 40K), brakes, clutch, exhaust, intake, 2 sets of cams, electronics, etc....6K in mods isn't a shit ton.

Shit..I bet you have $1K in that utterly ridiculous wing you put on your non-Sierra. Take that Ford emblem off until you put the 16-valve YB in that bitch. Not to mention that turd isn't even AWD. For $5K, a DSM would stomp mudholes in your car.

Sorry, I don't even have $300 in the wing, and yes, its a genuine RS wing. Id love to do a YB swap, that would be great. For about $700 I could do a Volvo twin cam swap, and have almost the same results. I didn't say I had $5000 in the engine, I have that in the whole car.

And it is a 25 year old car. Congrats. If you want to compare apples to apples, then do so. It's ridiculous to compare what I paid for my car new, to what you paid USED for a much older car.

To state the obvious...the price I paid for my Evo several years back is likely similar to what the original owner of your car paid back in the 80's. Until modern man has access to time machines, what someone pays 25 years ago compared to present day doesn't mean shit. Atari 2600 games used to be $3-4 back when I was a kid compared to $60 Xbox games nowadays. Xbox must suck!!!

But in the 80's you got a lot more car than any competitor. Where else would you get heated seats, in cloth and leather, all power Windows, central power locks, cruise, A/C, moonroof, and 175 HP and 30mpgs, again, in the 80's?

slowgreen99 03-18-2013 06:29 PM

Ill take the evo for $500 bob

Yeah, I can almost guarantee that the full interior is still in this car. If it wasn't, to keep weight in the car, it would flip over.
