wrong guy lost. The guy that won was being a dumbass in the passing lane unless it is different in their country. They have RHD cars. It also appears the guy that won was driving slow and not letting him pass/cutting him off.

I would just get out of the passing lane when someone pulls up on me. They might be in some type of emergency. I wouldn't go cutting them off.

There were cars every ten feet. If dude was just hanging out in the passing lane with no cars in the right lane then sure ride his ass like a gay convict. The guy didnt cut anyone off, dont interject something that isnt there. Dude was in the passing lane, PASSING people, and little bo butthead thought he was passing too slow. You cant drive like every person doing 10 over the limit has an "emergency". Thats just ludicrous. Ludicrous to even try and argue that.

If someone is coming up on me at a high rate of speed, I'm moving over regardless if I'm passing people or not. That's just like sitting in the passing lane doing 5 over justifying yourself for being in the fast lane because you're passing people. It appeared the suv speed up at one point and prevented the little car from passing. If the was the smaller cars enginewas making that noise then that is my mistake but that looked like speeding up/ cutting off to me. And yes I'm moving over if someone pulls up on me while I'm passing because they want to go faster and pass me. I would hurry up and pass the car I'm passing and move over. So no, no not everyone doing 10 over is in an emergency but don't sit in the passing lane if someone wants to go faster. Suv had many chances to move over.

Damn! Don't think I've ever seen Van get into it with somebody on here before! I'm that guy that's in the left lane, if I see somebody zoom up on me, they can wait until I have a decent clearing in the right lane for me to move over. If I'm in the left lane I'm usually going 10 over anyways so I don't feel bad about them waiting.

Since we're on the topic, one of my pet peeves is when I'm cruising with cruise control set and passing people at a reasonable but frequent pace, and notice a car coming up behind me. I'll get over dutifully to allow them to pass and what usually happens? They get up beside me or just slightly in front and STAY there. THEN I notice that I'm inevitably approaching a car from the front that I would want to pass without interrupting cruise control but there's this person in the left lane who made it clear they wanted to go faster than me (by riding my ass while I pass someone on the right, or by approaching me at a fast rate) that is simply pacing me. So...I either have to speed up (often chosen but more dangerous if I pass a cop) or hit the brakes to slow down in order to get behind them. I'm going to guess that most of these people who aggravate me are doing it unconsciously and are using their right foot as a cruise control and when they get next to someone they instinctively pace them without knowing it.

BUT, if it happens twice with the same car, then I'll refuse at that point to get over for them and will set my cruise again and stay on my course. That said, I don't camp in the left lane, but if the same car is back there "wanting to get around me" then he can do so in the right lane if I'm in the left because there are cars ahead that I will be passing.

You are repeating what I said. I did watch the video. The SUV guy had multiple chances to move over. SUV driver was barely passing people. He could have moved over and let the faster car pass and move back into the passing lane. He is not passing people at a very fast right so move over so a faster car can go.

This is what you typed. I already typed that I would move over, so no, I wouldn't agree with you.

This conversation is just me stating that I would move over after I passed the car. Robert is saying he wouldn't if he was passing people.

What I just typed above is what we see in that video. He was passing a bunch of slow moving cars, when they cleared up he tried to get over but mr impatient was not gonna have it.

Why should the guy in the left lane PASSING PEOPLE force his way into slower traffic, to let the guy behind him go? The guy wasnt camping. I could maybe see your point if he was pacing the other cars in the right lane, but he wasnt. For him to get into the right lane he would have had to slow up a bit and cut close to the other cars in the left lane. How is that more reasonable than just finishing passing then move over when the lane is clear, like others in this thread have said?

We are seeing two completely different things. Just my opinion, your interpretation is wrong, thats why we are having this disagreement.

I'd finish my own passing and then let anyone faster than me go on by so I can drop back in behind them and use them for radar bait.

Radar bait 300+ yards in front of me + Valentine One = Low insurance rates.

The Fit has been gone for a while now since I or my wife are no longer driving out to Nucor. It didn't make sense to keep making the payments when we didn't have to drive 80 miles round trip to work anymore. The Fit was an awesome car for its intended purpose, though.
