72' Gran Torino Sport I picked up
Found it on cl and couldn't resist. Needs a couple hours of work but is a solid car. 302 with 3 speed on the column.

I like it!
Ballinouttacontrolaye? lol |
Nice! I've always liked those cars.
I saw that listed awhile back and it looked like it was in good shape. I had a chance to buy a 72' formal roof but the floors were rusted out and the roof was solid bondo.
Very nice car. I've always liked to Torino's. Are you keeping the 302 in it?
Haha thanks! I love it. Cant wait to fix the brakes and start driving it. And yea I plan to leave the 302 in unless I come across a free or super cheap windsor, I will definitely put a cam, intake, carb and aluminum heads on it
Cool to see an old car looking so good. That thing is nice as is and has a lot of potential.
Used to have one with a Cleveland in it. Sucker would fly.
Very nice
looks good.
manual 3 on the tree? in a "sports" car?
thats nice! |
If you start using some of the lines that Clint Eastwood used in the movie Gran Torino, then you'll truly be badass!
Better off leaving the 302 in it alone or swapping to a roller 5.0 bottom end.
Good looking car:bigthumb:.Friend in high school had one.His had the 351CJ in it.Not fast out the hole but great on the top end.
Nice car Justin!

Changed your mind I see.....

The higher performance 351 Clevelands of the day had monster sized ports in the heads and an open combustion chamber. Those engines didn't wake up good until about 3500 to 4000 rpm. Awesome platform for the rpm range of a tunnel ram intake.
