Sold the Lightning and bought a 2000 C5 Z51. Like maybe 5 mods, slow, and needs a lot of things fixed on it.

Thanks! This one actually has two alternators, which is weird because it doesn't have a sound system or anything. I'm thinking about selling the other alternator for like $3k and doing a heads/cam/full bolton package for it since it has a stock LS1 in it...whatcha think? Or keep that noisy alternator?

Pesce Nero 03-29-2014 10:45 PM

Where is the model?

Thanks

Guess I'm used to the C5Z that had power almost evenly distributed or so it seemed..this one is towards the top end.

Sorry for the rag in the pic, I forgot to pick it up after wiping down the fuel rail covers.

ForceFed4g63 03-30-2014 03:03 PM

Most strategically placed rag ever.

CarsAndGames 03-30-2014 03:59 PM

Lmfao. That rag pic is killing me.

bambooi 03-30-2014 04:01 PM

why are you hiding it if everyone knows about it?

blkscls1z 03-30-2014 04:03 PM

That's a unique intake setup! Keep what you have and pick up a used set of 243s and have Ray port them. Bring a model over and you'll get a discount!

I noticed that these 843 heads had their number shaved off on the passenger side towards the second alternator. Why do you think that is? But if you look towards the back near the firewall, you can see 843 clearly.

And I'll definitely go that route...sounds like the most budget friendly option lol

CarsAndGames 03-30-2014 04:14 PM

All i will say is.

After driving it.

I want one

Only one end of the head gets stamped.

Ohhhhh ok, thanks.

CarsAndGames 03-30-2014 04:35 PM

Honestly I don't blame you for covering up the turbos. Glad those nitrous lines are hidden too.

Whew

Mustangs are slow regardless of the motor.

I see all the wiring was professionally done.

Horribly done*

Everything on this car was done by Bubba&Friends. And by friends I mean beer.

It's at least a running project. And for the price I paid I can't expect a mint car..

BIRDMAN 04-01-2014 06:33 PM

I find it ironic that the base model seats (sport seats) are better and nicer looking than the Z06 ones.
