Not going to happen. Ill let it rot under the carport first.

LXtasy 01-06-2009 10:24 PM

Fords go to the yard not under the carport. :D

Gl this go round. Gas is cheaper this time of your rebuild, so when you get it done you will have a blast driving it.

jack a 01-11-2009 08:16 AM

Wade have you picked up your heads yet? Give me a call and I will come up ther and help(watch) you.:bigthumb:

Yes I have the heads, cams and the cylinder head changing kit. (gaskets and head bolts) I will prob work on it next week end. We changed to 4 10's on my main job. And we rotate from monday to thursday then from tuesday to friday. So I get a 2 day weekend and a 4 day weekend. Now if I can get my other job to work with me I'll have some time to get it done.

wade w 02-14-2009 01:08 AM

Yea its been a while. I finally got it where I have 4 days off both jobs together. Ive been working every day somewere for a while now. I got everything but the heads and exhaust off today. I want to get where Im putting it back together tomorow. If all goes well I should have it done this weekend.

Richard Head 02-14-2009 02:05 PM

Good luck Wade, hope it all comes together for you this time. you doing it with the motor still in the truck?

wade w 02-14-2009 03:53 PM

Ya. Im doing it in the truck. I got it all the way apart today with no problems. Had I started on it in the morning yesterday. I could of had it apart in one day. I didnt start on it yesterday untill 1pm. I ran into a problem today. I never had the heads I just bought checked out. I know. Stupid on my part. One of the intake valves are bent. Its just barly bent and I could take one out of one of the other heads and go ahead and put it on, but I just dont trust them now. Im going to have them checked out before I put them on. Damn it.:?

Richard Head 02-15-2009 12:09 PM

Well hope they check out ok.

wade w 02-15-2009 06:23 PM

Thanks. I hope so to.

wade w 02-19-2009 10:09 PM

Well, Im getting them fixed, but damn it. Its going to cost me more to get them fixed then what I paid for the heads in the first place. It has a total of 8 bent valves and they need guides and seals. I swear this truck does not like me.

Wade. Sorry to hear about your misfortune. Better now than after they were installed!
You would have really been angry!

wade w 02-27-2009 04:21 PM

I got my heads back kinda late today. I have to work sat and sun. Im off monday but the weather isnt looking to good. Still might get somewere with it.

wade w 03-16-2009 11:22 PM

Finally got a day off. Its almost back together. I seem to have misplaced the t-stat housing bolts. Other than that I still have to bolt the exaust manifolds back on. I only have to work one job tomorow, So I might get it done tomorow nite.

bccoupe 03-17-2009 01:09 AM

Thanks Mike. Hell I really dont know what to say but Ive got 2 coupes 89 & 93, The blue 89 is a race car & the red 93 is my street car. The 89 is a built 8.2 deck dart motor with a big set of high port's and a F1R Procharger. I just got the new motor in a couple of weeks ago and went to Macon drag way week before last and ran a .33 with it right off the trailer with the old tune in it. So it should go a little faster once it's tuned. The 93 is a bone stock 5.0 that's never had the valve cover's off and a 76mm precision turbo. Ive got a built dart motor going in it very soon so Im pretty excited about that being my first tubo setup also. So I guess that's my claim to fame.Dont know much about you guy 's either so maybe I'll get to know some you guy's to Thank's.
