Some how the new 5.0 isnt as cool now.
 

My dad has had a majorly bad case of the "Keeping up with the Jones" his entire life and it struck a little too close to home this time. Ever since I got the mustang hes been looking to one up me and my car.

My dads been hounding me for info on sports cars for the past couple of days and asked me for my opinions on different things. So I told him to take his time and research and shop around with different brands and models. Well because my dad is a very impatient man he decided to get a '11 GT about 2 days into his search. It wasn't exactly what he wanted but its what they had on the lot. He was even more disappointed when he found out that mine had a better option package that included a few goodies that his didnt have. lol

I love my dad to death but I hate to say hes not a very hip dude and this is his first sports car in a VEEEEERY long time. Hes coming from a prius for christ's sake. Im going to try to guide him in the right direction through the modification phase but I have to warn you hes a mustang owner that every other mustang owner will hate. Hes already talking about putting his police badge plate on the front bumper and rain guards over the side windows. Hes also talked about putting a rather large sticker in the rear window. :cry: But he is looking to buy a intake and tuner already based on my recommendation.:razz:

Anyways he ended up getting a black GT and I took some pics last night of both of the cars together in my driveway but I havent hosted them anywhere yet. Ill post them a little bit later today.

Dad got one? Yep time to sell it. Once your parents do it, its not cool anymore.

Better color choice, the Kona blue, IMHO. Where did he buy the car? I don't know of too many places that will swap one out. Or... Did they treat it like a trade in?

Not exactly sure how it went down or where they got the other car from. Dad did say they had to trade a truck for the new car.

He turned in the black mustang and got a Kona blue one with all the options mine has minus the 19' but he was talking about putting mud flaps to protect the paint on the rear fenders. :hide:

He just gave me a good idea, mudflaps would keep the rubber off my rear fenders/bumper at the track! I need to order some, along with sfc's.
