I was going to go to the track last night but something popped up, kind of glad I didn't go now.

Like the other threads started on this, the censors will make this thread disappear

Apparently the people involved dont want this info public on CHP and ask for it to be removed. Rightfully so.

WWhittle 11-07-2011 10:14 AM

This thread will get deleted too and this will continue to be a big elephant in the room on this site.

Instead of deleting it, how about leave it and everyone can show support for everyone involved. It's a rough time for both sides of the accident I am sure.

It was a freak, sad accident, but it was still an accident. I feel bad for Barry's family and also Tara and her family. This is a time for friends and family to show support and help everyone involved get through it. This is already public information on every other site- so of ALL sites, CHP should be the one to show some support for Tara.

There is no need to sweep it under the rug. It was an accident. Barry was a good man and will be missed and may he rest in peace.

Well said.

I edited that last post if you want to do the same.

I agree. My prayers go out to everyone involved, the CHP family will support the members here, no reason to delete this thread.

If anybody involved needs anything I will be happy to do it.

My thoughts and prayers goes out to both families

This could be why they dont want any second hand info being posted on a local website. Just saying.

DORCHESTER COUNTY, SC (WCSC) -

A North Charleston man was killed late Sunday night after his car flipped over on a drag strip in Dorchester County, pinning him inside.

The accident happened around 10 p.m. at the Dorchester Drag Strip near Ridgeville, off Highway 78. The race came to a stop while paramedics rushed to help the driver, a 40-year-old North Charleston man.

The Dorchester County Sheriff's Office is investigating the accident, but say no charges will be filed.

I believe that is standard procedure in a death. Everyone knows it was an accident.

Keep your head up Tara.

k5hart 11-07-2011 10:50 AM

Wow! Sad to hear. My condolence to the family.

Pesce Nero 11-07-2011 10:51 AM

when it's someones time to go there is nothing anyone could do to change that

Prayers to both families

Illusions 11-07-2011 10:56 AM

Our thoughts and prayers go out to all involved. This was an accident. I know this has to be very hard for everyone involved to deal with. The CHP Family will come together and show their support for those involved.

chrisheltra 11-07-2011 11:21 AM

Was Barry a member on here or go to any of the local events? Not sure if I knew him or not.

ForceFed4g63 11-07-2011 11:24 AM

Was this a red SS?

csikx 11-07-2011 11:42 AM

May all involved find peace.

chrisheltra 11-07-2011 11:43 AM

I would have preferred for this thread to stay on CHP rather than having a bunch of idiots on YB that don't know anyone involved throwing in their two cents.

Chillerman 11-07-2011 11:57 AM

It is indeed a very sad time. I was there but was getting the car ready for a nitrous pass when the accident occured. I spoke to Tara afterwards before I knew of the fatality. All family's involved will be in our prayers. We will continue to show our support for those affected by this.

slowgreen99 11-07-2011 12:04 PM

Prayers to both familys. Accidents happen, and it was his time to go home. Keep your head up and stay strong.
