I really cant wait until he legalizes dog and cat.

I usually have an opinion on everything but I honestly don't care on this one. Although I do worry that this will lead to animal cruelty in some places.

Treed! Soon as I read Chris' post I wanted to post that!

We actually have a 7 year old Mare, ex-race horse that was rescued from auction to be sold to Canada for slaughter. Absolutely nothing wrong with her and would normally cost thousands to purchase. The only reason she was there is the owner stopped paying the barn that was boarding her, so they sent her to auction. We know a lady here in Charleston that works to find homes for horses who are at auction for this reason.

If this turns out to be all that they say it is. It will truely be sad. Plenty of cows around.

Beleve it or not they use alot of horse meat in zoos for the big cats.

DolSVT00 12-01-2011 10:26 AM

I'll eat a horse in a minuite, especially if it has a name. Its an animal, like a cow or pig or chicken or turkey ect... ect...ect... If someone wants to eat it, so be it. If it were in the wild, a predator wouldn't think twice about eating it, why should we?

chrisheltra 12-01-2011 10:31 AM

Ill eat almost anything once. IMO everything on this earth was put here for our consumption. Society has made consuming certain things like cats, dog and horses taboo.

Agreed, I'll try anything, I've had some crazy stuff and it all usually turns out to be pretty good.

Shane361 12-01-2011 10:49 AM

I dont care either way. Society...as in ours alone has branded this as taboo when if fact it's meat. What I love about this...is that it came just before election which can only hurt his votes IMO. :cheers

On November 18th, as the country was celebrating Thanksgiving, President Obama signed a law, allowing Americans to kill and eat horses.

Thing is, there's alwayse the argument that its tame, or would you eat your dog/cat.... ect....ect (BTW, if I was hungry and my dog didn't stink so bad i'd give it a case of lead poisoning and cook it medium well).

But at the same time its acceptable practice for deer hunters to stock feeders on hunt clubs, sit in a tree covered with pee over the top of a feeder and wait for bambi to come get some food at the spot that its pretty much been trained to go to and eat. Then they shoot it with a sniper rifle with a scope that can put a hole in a quater at 300 yards. Then they take pictures and brag to their friends that "Hey look at this ___ point I kilt dis weekend"............ I still get dumb looks when I reply. "Throw away you GPS, Scope, 1200$ rifle, camo, and store bought deer pee, get some sticks and rocks shaped into a point, poke some duck feathers in the end of the sticks and tie some vine between the biggest one, run through the woods going woo woo woo, kill a deer and take a picture. Then I'll say your a hunter, otherwise your just a studio wannabe cowboy.

Nothing wrong with that, but I'm a lil smarter so I'll just wait till its dark and get in an old beater I baught for 200$ ride through the woods at 3-4am with the lights on and the horn blowing and fill up the freezer
