WTB: Mossberg 500 or Remington 870 Pump

I know this is a long shot, but just seeing if anybody has one that they'd be willing to sell. I've been looking all over for a 500 but they're hard to find right now. I need one of the 2 for home protection/hunting duty. Just bought into a hunt club for the year for dove hunting so I need one. I have cash in hand so hit me up!

Well..I have a Remington 870 Police Magnum I'll let go for 350. Has about 20 rounds through it with a nick in the plastic buttstock. I want another handgun more than a shotgun. -Shane

Yes, and 18"..better for home defence than killing flying things. Barrel change out though.-Shane

Pretty much what I'm looking for, these days barrel length doesn't matter as much with the ammo that's out there, this would be perfect for both. Hmmm... very interested. Educate me, what's the difference between the standard 870 and the Police Magnum?

Good info, I've seen the price varies a lot but I think this is fair. Taking it to PM's.

I was at East Coat on 17a and they had two 500s with pistol grips and heat shields. I believe they were $320-$350 each. I have been looking at a 930. They had a 930 with a turkey barrel/choke.

dont even look agt a 500 when comparing it to a 870...thte 870 is hands down the best pump for the dollar. Awesome gun. I wouldnt own another pump in the UNDER $500 range

Ended up picking up Shane's 870. Great guy and a good deal. Got to see the carnage first hand the renters did at his place. All I have to say is wow, makes me think twice about renting anything out to anybody lol. Thanks again Shane!
