Act of Valor

Anybody else see this yet? Amazing movie, actually puts the SEALs and our troops in a positive light. Real active duty Navy SEALs are the stars, and a lot of live fire used for the scenes. Real SEAL tactics too, no Hollywood crap. I was so pumped after I saw it lol. I would highly recommend everyone going to see this movie.

Lol would be nice to see a good military flick that doesn't have negative to the military / political agenda. Oh and one that I didn't end up with my eyes crossed after because the tactical acting portion was horrible and inaccurate.

I think the last one I saw with any form of accuracy was Tears of the Sun... Or maybe In Ihe Army Now. (Kidding on the last one).

Yes it was so refreshing to see the military as the good guys. My father in law always gets upset about Tears of the Sun because he was in that action and he thinks the movie was crap, his blood pressure goes up whenever he talks about that movie lol.

The guys around the shop are talking about how good it was. Look forward to seeing it.-Shane

I asked one of the guys who worked on "Dear John" why the guys collar devices were upside down in one scene, when they had a "military advisor" on set.

he said they shot the flick here, and went back & re-did some of the scenes for more 'drama' (read: soap opera) and they did those scenes back in Cali, without a military advisor.

tks for the advice on this moive. have not PAID to go to $$ movie theater in many years, might break out a Benjamin and go see one....

I loved this movie. And you get to see about 30 seconds of my profession when the nerds that drive the submarine pick up the seals.

This was the first time I ever got emotional in a theatre. One of the best movies I've ever seen.
