New here ffrom SAV!

Well I know its not SC but I do spend alot of time in bluffton and here recently in beaufort since the machine shop I use is there. I have a Black 98 cobra thats a work in progress. Currently under the knife and hopefully done early to mid march!

Im 29 and a public service worker here in Savannah.

Its an eaton swap, 03 shortblock, ported blower, plenum, throttlebody. 60lb injectors, SCT BA2400 MAF. FRPP shorty header, Bassani o/r X and catback. Aviator in tank pump, t-rex inline pump. Billetflow idlers. Metco lower setup with 4lb ring, 2.76 upper. Im hoping to get it tuned by Kurgan.

why the switch from the centri to the roots?

cobracarlo 02-27-2012 08:03 PM

Well ive always wanted an 03 cobra but didnt wanna pay for it lol. This one is paid for now. Plus I have the stock gears in it and in order to really make the car move in a centri 98 you need 4.10's. With this setup I can keep the stock gears for now and maybe move up to 3.55's which help with gas mileage.

This car has been to the track 3 times, and it broke twice so its mainly a street car, it will never have a cage. So with the roots blower its setup for a little stoplight to stoplight fun :)

Welcome. Nice looking Cobra.

That eaton is better than some of the centi blowers out there... of course there are some beast centri blowers also but for a 500ish hp car the roots is nice.

Welcome, what macine shop are you using in bft? The one next to beaufort cycles?

cobracarlo 03-07-2012 11:03 PM

Yeah its called B&T. So far they have done good work and have good prices also. Thanks everyone. And dont get me wrong I was Happy with my V-1 S-trim. Ive just always wanted a PD car. Plus its something a little different. I mean they are starting to get more common in the Sn-95's but I only know of one other guy in the area and he was in beaufort.
