Got the new clutch in the Z06
Been working this past week on putting this in along with a few other things and finally finished it this morning. HUGE thanks to my good friend Edward for letting me use his lift and helping me out with the install. Here are a few pics.

The process for this is insane on Corvette's.

It wasn't that bad. The most difficult part was the slave cylinder and the bellhousing.

I mean compared to most other cars lol.

Wow Neal, nice work. Did you put the heat insulation in the tunnel or was it already there? Which McLeod did you choose? I'm going to go with the LS9x clutch from Katech. 8 lbs. lighter than the Z06 clutch. Jamison Corvette said they charged $800 labor to install a clutch; I'm gonna take them up on it. If they had a post lift at the hobby shop on base, I might attempt it myself, but they don't. :? |
You can rent a lift at DIY Motorsports on Dorchester.

word is neal is gonna start doing these on the side

I know it's not a fair comparison considering the hobby shop has been open 10 times longer than DIY, but point is shit can get stolen from anywhere. |
Be careful of some that hang around DIY Motorsports. Not the people that work there. Trust me. I can't get into details, but I wouldn't do any work there.

I am glad I have my own lift in my shop. When I get tired of messing with something or if I have somewhere to go, I just lock it up and go. I have let a few guys from work use it because I remember all to well the days of having to bum lift time from friends and then hurry to get done so that my car isn't in their way.
