LS Trunion Upgrade

Be sure to use the new bolts that come with the kit, the stock ones end up being too long and will bottom out, then snap by not hold down the rocker arm enough.

I would be if the price is right? What ya want for em? Do you have the aforementioned shorter bolts as well?

blkscls1z 07-22-2012 02:30 PM

New bolts are too long for a LS7. Have to reuse stock bolts.

I have all the supplied shorter bolts yes. I've been thinking about listing these on LS1tech for $190 shipped but make me an offer.

I saw the comp kit on summits website for $135.00?

BAD BOB 07-22-2012 09:34 PM

Oh ok. I didn't know since I bought mine through hhp on a group purchase

djfury05 07-22-2012 09:35 PM

I figure it would cost me $15-20 to ship them some where so if they are picked up or we meet somewhere locally I think $170 is fair?

ShawnBoyMoody 07-22-2012 10:05 PM

Im guessing you are wanting more because they are already pressed into some stock rockers? Im not that lazy lol. I'll just order a new kit and press them into my rockers.

Pretty much lol. Seen quite a few sold this way and I don't want to mess them up by removing them so I'd like to keep them together.

What the hell is a Trunion?

<4 cylinder guy stepping timidly into the V8 RWD world, don't hate.

ShawnBoyMoody 07-24-2012 11:01 AM

The rockers on a LS series ride on a set of needle bearings. These things can and do fail especially when you have a bigger cam. When they come apart they spill the needles into your engine. The trunion updrade replaces factory setup with a new and improved design that is much more robust and less apt to fail.

Thank you sir :cheers

My only point of reference for a trunion is the mounting points for old school cannons lol
