Learned something new today about installing a boost controller.
Turns out its a bad idea to install a boost controller on the manifold side of the throttle body, I was chasing a vacuum leak and found it at the boost controller.
Fix is to install it anywhere in front of the throttle body then to the gate, A trip to lowes for a 1/8 NPT barb fitting and a hour later the car is running a lot better. |
Cool. Live and learn.

It could be that the boost controller has a one way check valve in it. It probably holds under pressure so it can measure boost, and bleed itself clear in the other direction when boost goes down.

EBC solenoid or MBC?? I have always run the lines to the gates off the comp housing so they don't see vacuum.

I will always run MBC personally. Less to go wrong and if you get the right product they will do a damn good job. Hallman all the way.
