anyone done valve seals on 1.3 liter / 4 cyl Geo Metro?
 

we got this for my wife's nephew, and it smokes like crazy.

only has 80k miles on it.

the guy was running Synthetic oil in it, and i think if i went back to Dino, it might smoke less.

but truth is, i hate to take someone a free car that smokes this bad, when I prolly have the ability to fix it pretty cheap.

where if he took it to a shop, they would kill him on labor costs.

I was going to leave it alone, but it had a squealing from the waterpump, and to do the water pump, you have to take off the timing belt...and while you are there, you might as well....... :eek2:

i think they only sell valve stem seals as a kit with an entire geo metro.

actually if you read Metro forums they rebuilding motors quite often and 1 guy even has a spare motor

my friend had a 1L 3-cyl and it was hilarious to drive... if you powershifted 1-2 it would take about 5 seconds to drag back down.... The people on the Geo boards didnt like me asking how much nitrous one would take before it blew up lol

They will hold a 50 shot dry no problems and a 75 shot wet. :hides:

I want to find another 3 cylinder metro and apply my nitrous knowledge to it now. Hmmmm. I wonder if i could get it to hold at least a 125 once ;)

You just as well make it interesting and go for 250 once then.
