Painting the track pink
Went up to Darlington Yesterday, and they had some pro guys testing.
Snapped these pics. I didn't notice the pink wheels until I looked back at the pics. http://carolinahorsepower.com/Pictures/Temp/-5.jpg http://carolinahorsepower.com/Pictures/Temp/-6.jpg http://carolinahorsepower.com/Pictures/Temp/-7.jpg |
Are you talking about the chalk they had on the wheelie bars?

Here is a video from one of the cars. I only seen 1 of the pro guys make a full pass, and he went 6.30 @ 225 Video Here is a video of my truck from yesterday. I probably couldn't of asked for better conditions, only to find out my truck is still slow. Video |

The run took so long that the battery died.

Looked to be maybe 10 second pass. Atleast per my timer on the screen

Mike, I guess that run was at Darlington? If so, how were the track conditions? Worth the trip up there?
|
Will, it wasn't a bad trip somewhere around 2 hours. The track prep was great that day with all the rubber the pro guys were laying down. From what I hear the track is normally prepped pretty good anyways.
The thing that I didn't like is sitting in the staging lanes. The wait was around 90 minutes each time. This might not be the norm, because they were constantly stopping everything to let the pro guys run. I'm sure most guys don't mind that, but I'm used to Dorchester early Sundays. At dorchester there isn't a wait in the staging lanes until late in the evening, and by that time I've got all the runs in I want to make. |
That doesn't sound too bad considering the pro guys were running. I've thought of going to Midway sometime or even to Darlington. Were you there on a Wed. or Sat.?
