I could tell it was a GTO and not Monaroo because the smoke was coming from the tires and not under the hood!

Hell yea! Congrats Russ!

GreebeanZ28 03-29-2013 02:01 PM

Thanks guys. Thinking of doing a 8.8 swap soon so I can run a sticky tire with a little less worry of breakage. Then we can see what it'll run in Strace Car mode.

Its got an LS2 now and pretty much every bolt on....exhaust, headers, rockers, tune and such.

Matts94Z28 03-29-2013 02:45 PM

That there is a corvette motor!

DIGGLER 03-29-2013 04:04 PM

still laughing at that motor. "you think it will be ok?..... yeaa.. shit lets just put it together and see how it does."
(had some surface rust in one of the cylinders that didnt want to clean up)

GreebeanZ28 03-29-2013 04:07 PM

So the engine was "seasoned". Lmao. Runs like a champ!

Rattletrap 03-29-2013 04:11 PM

belt or no belt?

DIGGLER 03-29-2013 04:12 PM

if no belt, run is not valid because a street car runs a belt. lol
motor makes awesome power to have had a sub-par surface in one cylinder.

Rattletrap 03-29-2013 04:25 PM

nitrous is an awesome thing!

RoadconeTuning 03-29-2013 05:34 PM

Belt was on

GreebeanZ28 03-29-2013 06:07 PM

As street car as it gets bo.

Hell it had been under water when I got it. It amazes me that you guys just put it in lol.

GreebeanZ28 03-29-2013 06:22 PM

Scotch brites and some DubyaDee Fortay does the trick.

RoadconeTuning 03-29-2013 08:04 PM

pleasing power

no joke, picked the little bits of trash out of it, cleaned the cylinders, blew it out best we could and that was it. it really is a miracle motor.
