Please give me your opinions

So I got everything fixed on the Whipple and threw it all back on the engine last night. I decided to use a plate to integrate my NX nozzle with the Whipple instead of drilling and tapping a boss into the side of the plenum. I ordered the shortest hoses I could get away with. I intentionally ordered the nitrous hose a little longer than the fuel hose because most nitrous guys will tell you that making the nitrous hose longer helps a little bit with the initial lean hit when a wet system is activated. Plus I wanted to make the path for the nitrous as smooth as possible. So I ditched the 90 degree fitting out of the nitrous solenoid and went back to the straight fitting.

Let me know what you think about this set-up. And if there's something you would do different. Thanks.:cheers

Looks great and sounds like you put some thought onto it. I see you have a
fuel pressure safety switch. Do you have anykind of window switch? Thats about the only thing I can think of that I would want.

was there no way you could have mounted the nozzle more towards the side than on top? That would be my only thing that I would have changed.

No window switch. I use an FJO Progressive Controller. It has every feature I would ever need and then some.:bigthumb:

I tried every way possible. With this specific plate the only way I can mount it is how you see in the pic. I guess I could always drill and tap a hole on the side of the plenum. The if I decide to go a different route later I could always plug it.

I have never heard of them, but I only see the stuff in Summit or Jegs. I would like to get a progressive cotroller for the car. Were do you get them?
I have heard good things about the edelbrock controller. I know some guys with low 5 sec cars that use them.

Do you think taking the 90 out is going to help you? I mean the kit came that way or is it just a precaution? Or do you have inside info. Mine is set up with the 90 in place

Looks good!

Spencer you did a great job installing the hoses. In the world of refrigeration, for every short radius 90 you use is equivalant to 5 feet of linear length of tubing. Yea that's right 5 feet. So making your line longer with the very long and smooth bends reduces this substantially. As you installed this, I beleive you will accomplish your goal. Besides 90 degree connectors create restrictions in flow.

Looks great. What size kit is that?

Looks Great SWT. I would not put no 90 in there. The knozzle has to go in so far to work properly!

The kit didn't come that way. It came with straight fittings for the solenoids. I bought the 90 degree fittings separate.

It's a Ford EFI Single Stage Kit. It's jetted for a 75 shot right now.
