Anyone evr had a spark plug back out?

I'm half way between Summerville And Walterboro and I hear a horrible noise...sounds like exhaust leak from hell...pop hood and #8 plug is missing and wire is dangling...I did plugs last weekend and tightened them down pretty good with no anti seize....so I just pulled the injector connection off to keep fuel from spraying and drove the rest of the way...

It's just Karma saying Hello.

are you using the correct kind of plugs? if you are, i would say you just didnt tighten that one.

this one i KNOW i tightened bc after running it around the block after changing the trans fluid i noticed the wire was moving while the engine idled bc the plug had gotten loose...so i tightened it down again...im hoping the threads arent fucked....i do have another set of heads that i wanted to get ported before i threw them on....maybe i should let it run and get warm then retighten..i guess stuff expands and all

replace the plug with a new one... it wouldnt be surprising to have a bad plug out of the 938427529384752938475 they make a day.

Ironically years and years ago mikes 331 cobra had a plug back out right as you get into walterboro. I can't even remember where we were going.

I had one blow out of the head taking the threads with it...was boosted at the time. Time Cert FTW! Suggest torque them next time just to make sure.

Well, we all have our limitations. Luckily for Ford speed isn't one of them. :poke:
