Was considering signig up until i saw how much single event insurance was gonna be... 220 for just one weekend for the GXP. maybe later this year...

Is PCA a group that will sign you off for a higher driving group once you prove that you're not a total idiot or do they make you run a bunch of events before you get bumped?

Not sure what they're requirements are for solo since I've never done a PCA DE. I have a log book from Hooked On Driving and I know at least 3 of the instructors for this particular event who can vouch for me.

As for insurance, look at your policy. One reason these are referred to as Driver's Education is to get around the "racing" exclusion in policies.

I know most insurance policies dont cover you once you're on a track no matter whats happening.

State Farm paid for a friend's Diablo he totaled at a private track rental at RR a few years ago. And yes, he told them where it occurred since he could afford to lose 200k more than he could afford to lose his law license.

Other people would put the car on a wrecker and and report a deer claim.
