Owners fault for not listening to cops. Sad to see a dog killed like that but it's not the cops fault, it's the irresponsible asshole who felt the need to push the limits.

shitty outcome, but it happened because of the owners actions. Dog was just being a dog. It would have been nice if a bystander grabbed the leash, but dogs of that size can be intimidating.

It's 80% the dog owners fault 20% the cops in my opinion. I counted four or five other cops all right in the area that could have helped with the dog if he did indeed attack him. If the cop felt the need to protect himself thats fine but shooting the dog four times is to much. Me personally I'd take a dog bite over killing a dog who is just being a loyal dog.
