Glock 34 done....FINALLY
Well, it took 7 months, but the Glock 34 is back. I sent it off to Weapon Worx in Arizona to let Calvin work his magic with the stippling iron. Had a grip reduction and stippling package done, as well has the slide coated in Kryptek Typhon cerakote. I got it back yesterday, and the pile of parts that had been waiting finally got installed.

Prettiest Glock I have ever seen :)

Thanks Shane. I am not super happy about the "squareness" of the shapes in the camo, but I can live with it, but then.......
Just my luck, I got a call from the guy in Arizona. My gun was coated with a clearcoat that was fucking expired. Now he wants it back. WTF |
take that thing and go shoot with gerald/gearmesh

Think I'm going to get a refund and attempt it myself......

looks good if you are having it refinished why not support a local business that does amazing work?

By the way, liquid mirage has handled a couple of projects for me so far as well. Also, I do duracoat, and will be doing this one myself next go round. I am also a local business.......What's the issue? |
You said there was an issue not me I said it looks good?
You said you weren't completely happy and the clear was bad ie: needs redone. So I was letting you know I case you didn't already that liquid mirage does good work and isn't in Arizona. |

Nice work on your G34! I see you replaced the factory extended slide stop with a normal one. I had to do the same with mine as my strong side thumb would ride it and prevent the slide from locking back on an empty mag. Ghost makes a forward positioned extended one that I may try out at a later date.
I thought about a grip reduction for my Gen 4 G34 to make it point like my 1911s, but decided to try the reversible route of cutting the bottom half off the included thick beavertail backstrap and install it on the gun. While not aesthetically pleasing as your grip reduction, it does point just like my 1911s with the same reach to the trigger. When shooting it, I don't even notice the bottom edge of the cut backstrap as it is located in the hollow of my palm. As for mods, I installed a Ghost 3.3 connector with overtravel stop, Lighting Strike lightened striker, Glockworx striker spring, and Ameriglo sights. The front sight is their Pro-Glo night sight with an orange surround, while the rear sight is their plain black .180" wide notch with radiused corners. This sight combo works day or night and is very fast to acquire. Trigger pull at the center of the trigger is 3.5 pounds and no light strikes with Federal small pistol primers. I like those sights.

After zooming in on your pic, I see the Vickers Tactical piece.
Your eyes are the second thing to go! |
