302 fuel pump

with a mild carburated 302 with heads a cam and headers what kind of gph do i need out a fuel pump? and will i need a extra one for spray?

You can keep your stock inline tank pump. it will be fine. Just get an adjustable fuel pressure regulator and gauge.

That's the one I am currently running in the black truck right now with no problems. Even has the port for return style fuel systems

i was going to put a sump in my tank and run the fuel line from there back. Will a 140gph pump work?

It should. Just remember that you need around around 5.5 -6.5 psi going to the carb. On nitrous you will another regulator as well to feed the fuel solenoid its desired fuel rate. I prefer having a return style regulator just so it doesn't blow out a diaphragm.

.5 lbs/hp-hr. (gasoline).
Gas weighs ~6.2lbs per gallon

So for 400 hp you need ~32 galons an hour. = 121 liters/hr.
