Welcome to the Corner Carvers section

I figured some people on here may be afflicted with the same illness that I have been plagued with since I started driving 18 years ago-I love to take turns at stupid high speeds. This section has been added (Thank you, Mike. By the way.) for the discussion of such activities. As soon as I have time, I will be posting event dates for autocrosses, open track days, and the like. Even you truck guys may want to try this out. There was a Lightning running at the Myrtle Beach AutoX, yesterday; and he did not totally embarrass himself. Hopefully this works out, and becomes a valuable source of information for those who believe that the most entertaining path from A to B is not a straight line. A place for those who think that trail braking has absolutely nothing to do with 4x4's, and that the steering wheel is used for more than just "staying in the groove".

Thank you all,
Shaun

And... Thanks again, Mike

Awesome. Great section idea! :D

As soon as my shoulder heals, I'll be heading to Roebling Road or Road Atlanta.

I used to do quite a bit of Auto-x but the STi isn't suited to it anymore, the turbo is just too laggy for it, but it's a great road course car!

i talked to my buddy that was there today. he was in the novice class and he came in 4th and his bro cam in 5th. he was .183 from being 3rd

I just noticed this section. Sweet! I do like to corner but I am retiring the truck for a little better suited vehicle.

clubracergt1 04-26-2009 09:25 AM

Wuss. I think your MB times were still below the Mustang's. Of course, that was my first auto-x. You can still get a truck around the cones. Look at the guy in the X-Runner at the Black Lake.

lilbitmuch_21 04-26-2009 10:15 AM

True. He was at Florence last year. He's a pro driver though. The truck is better suited for the straight shot. That was my first event in the car. Hopefully you'll be at the next event

clubracergt1 04-26-2009 10:41 AM

That's the plan.
