Which shock/ strut and spring combo for me?
 

I pulled the rear out of the car this weekend and realized the shocks are GONE.. Knowing how the car rode before I took it apart I am going to venture a guess that the front struts are just as bad off.

So what I need is a shock / strut spring combo that will offer the best of all words. Car is a street car, and will see probably 85% street driving. The roads here arent the best either. Drag strip is definitely in the plans as well as the possibility of an auto x event along the way. Now I know I wont set records in a Fox around the cones but I also don't want to make an ass out of my self either.

What combo would you guys suggest. I want an aggressive stance, something that handles well (as well as a Fox can) and offer some moderate to good opportunity for low 60 ft time. I currently have MM lowers, dbl adjustable uppers, stock rear sway bar, stock front sway bar (will disconnect for drag passes) D&D caster camber plates for the front (not yet installed). Coil overs would be great but its just not in the budget right now.

Car is running 17x8 Cobras with a 245/45 in front and a 275/40 in back. Just for reference.

If you are wanting better 60 ft times. For the money. Lakewood 50/50 for the rear. 90/10 for the front.
QA1 adjustables are very expensive. Also a great shock!

As far as springs go. I suggest running 4cyl. Springs on the rear!

Keep one thing in mind.....Drag racing and road coarse is totally different when it comes to suspension.....Make up your mind which one you want to do.

Bang for the buck-
Strange adjustables front and back with Hyperco or Steeda progressive springs.

I was thinking a set of the Strange 10 way's all around and a set of HRE SuperSports..

I thought HRE was more of just a lowering spring, not really any type of performance spring. I could be wrong though.
I would try to atleast put coil overs on the front if you can swing it.

Its not that I cant swing it. It that I don't want to. Since buying a house I don't want to spend money on the car so my cheapbastardness has hit an all time high right now. I need to do some shopping around and figure out who has the best deal on a coil over set up with strange 10 ways I think.

I called Dave @ Team Z today and had a pretty lenghty conversation with him. Ordered a Team z anti roll bar, Strange 10 way shocks and struts and a coil over conversion for the front.

I was gona say look into the Summit brand stuff, it's made by Competition Engineering. The only difference is that they that have been re-packed for summits distribution. They are $24 bucks a pop for 3way adjustable rears on my car. I will be running strange coilovers with a 325lb spring on the front when I get some cash to compliment...
