Power Adders
 

Ok guys, Harley a no go. wife went for a test drive with me and said it was too much like the lightning. She wants nothing to do with that truck anymore. What are some power adders you can get for a 5.4........ besides a super charger? Any suggestions would be helpful.

she already does...... I don't think the turbo will fly with her because this will be her truck as soon as we leave kodiak and get back here.

LOL.... I will be completely honest with you. When I get back I will have some money saved up and you showed me my next investment remember. I can honestly say thats what I am saving up for. I think it looks sharp and if I can be disciplined enough to save up enough money the next 3 years then that is my plan. I just want that damn thing bad. But I just pretty much needed to know a way to get better gas milage with this truck. It drinks more than the L and cost about 30 dollars more to fill it up.

I dont remember doing that, was I drunk? What is your next investment?

Deven has a 2005 F-150 that is pretty damn peppy for a FX4 model. He has: Air Force One intake, gibson shorty headers, Flowmaster 50 series, and by far the best investment was the Hypertech Hyperpac, if you see him let him show you all it does. You can choose from 87, 89, or 93 octane, tells you 1/8 mile times and 1/4 mile times, engine temp, trans temp, exhaust temp, Clears DCT's if there are any, Analog and Digital EVERYTHING. When he first got his truck it was just like yours....slow as hell and drank gas, since he has put all of this on he has gotten about 2-3 sometimes 4-5 mpg better and a good bit faster. He has 35 inch tires and can still outrun hemi's and the AWD SS silverados. A guy works for him that has a SS silverado and he can whip up on him all day. He ordered all of his stuff from truckperformance.com. Just my 2 cents

If nothing else get the Hyperpac, intake, and exhaust you will notice a big difference especially with the electronic throttle body. I mean this stuff wont put you anywhere near the low 8's like you were running before but will take you from 10.5's or so down into the high nines with street tires and not those monster truck tires deven has. What year is yours????

Yeah, Both me and the wife are Coasties. But we are looking foward to it. Painting it silver will not make it faster,,,,,,,, just uglier. :lol:
