4.6 light smoke start up, burning some oil
valve seals?
who wants to do them for me? I'll buy the pizza...the cheap pizza, that is.... |

Its not easy to change valve seals while its in the car, you need a few special tools if you have PI heads, and you have to take the timing cover/chains off, cam's out, remove the valve springs, retainers and locks, keep pressure on the valves so that they don't drop, then pull the seals out and replace them. Its almost easier to pull the heads off when your that far. |

esp if the valve seals are that hard. the PCV doesn't make sense as to why it burns oil, but it is a 135k motor....that has NOT been taken care of..... PCV is still a good answer to ease our mind on the start up puff. thanks a bunch |
