This guy wants to swap hoods with me. he said he'll give me his cowl hood which is in good conditon for my stock hood. do you think this is a good swap? i gotta meet him at south of the border. let me know what you guys think!

I like it. its not overpowering
|
I would jump all over it, specially if there is no need to repaint. I wish I could find a deal like that for the Silverado...
|
i have a ecsb hood if you want to trade silver. same color as yours. lol
OP. I like the hood. Same hood I had on my ole 96 s-10. |
I don't see why not
|
JMO; if that hood is heavier than the stock hood I wouldn't do it. I know 10-20 lbs probably won't make much difference, I just don't think the looks are worth it.
With that said the other hood does look good. |

Lightning hoods are made of Aluminum, and most fiberglass hoods weigh more than the stock hood. Just a thought. Fiberglass hoods have problems cracking too. I haven't had one yet not crack in in the corners or the peaks. |
the hood he posted is going to be a goodmark steel hood.
|
yeah its a steel hood. my truck i'm creating more for a show truck. i'm still rebuilding the motor and everything but won't be hitting the track much. so i'm going mor for looks then weight reduction.
