Upholstery Shop

Just curious if anyone has personal experience (i.e. would recommend) any local upholstery shops that do quality work for a fair price.

Thanks

They quoted me $275 to recover a passenger seat bottom. Seemed a bit pricey for me?

Did you get quotes from other places? I was going to recommend them also.

Two others, and they were between $125 and $225. Maybe its just more to cover a seat bottom than I anticipated.

I've heard really good things about them.

I'm partial to Grady's on Dorchester Rd.

Grady's, Pops and Karens are all good, but you'll pay$$$ for what you get.

I took the seat off my CRF450 to Grady's for them to install a new cover on it. I had taken the OEM cover off and pulled all the staples but my staple gun wouldn't shoot into the roto-plastic. They installed it with stainless staples.

No charge. Not a big deal but they'll get my future business and I refer everyone I know to Mike.

I have always gone to Gradys.

Mike. This might be a good idea. Take the seat apart and then find out what it will cost for the recover. May cut down on the price due to less labor. A seat shouldnt be that hard to get apart, bring it down to the shop and we can figure it out. :bigthumb:

I'll second Grady's. I've used them before a couple times and had a great experience. They were priced rather fair I thought.

i've seen some terrible work come out of pops tops. karens does great work also. never used grady's.

KissMyWhiteSS 04-22-2010 09:18 AM

Grady's does great work, I've always used them...but Bendt Brothers is awesome too. They do work for the major dealerships in West Ashley. When I worked at Rick Hendrick we always took vehicles to them. They work on all the high end vehicles too. You get what you pay for through them.

I work next door to Bendt Brothers, and we send all of our stuff to them to get fixed. They do great work. See a lot of nice classic cars there too....
