Is there a local place that does cages?
 

I'm at the point where I want to have a full cage installed. I will be running fast enough to require one when I go to the track and I don't want to get kicked off every time I go. Is there a good place in this area that does cages?

There is another guy doing cages. He did Mike's (95Cobra), and it was a really good job. Hopefully Mike will chime in, and give you some contact info.

Awesome! Please let me know all the details and shoot me some phone numbers. I would much rather have it done here than drive all the way up to Maryland where I was going to have it done. As long as it's quality I'll be happy.

Jody Swing did the chrome-moly cage in my car. He does awesome work at a great price, and has a great turn-around time.

Where is he located? Chrome-Moly is what I'm looking for. How much did he charge to do yours?

He's located here in the Charleston area. Pimlico to be exact. He charged me a $1000.

Damn! That's pretty good. Was that total with labor and everything? I'm sure mine would cost a bit more since I would need a new rear window.

Nope. I haven't had a chance to run down any of those shops yet.

I just wanted to re-kindle this thread since I am seriously going to do the cage now. I wanted to know if there was any new information out there.

SW--Fastlane in Raleigh does cages---and they TIG weld, too. Also, there is a local guy near me--TBC I have to look up their info, but this guy build race chassis for 10.5 outlaws to about anything and can fab about anything, too.
