But for some reason Nascar is alot bigger than Drag Racing. I personally would get bored seeing cars go in circles. Nothing tops a NHRA funny car or top fuel dragster....

say what ya say, but when you get behind the wheel on one of them 650HP left turn monsters, you'll change your mind

I'll watch it when they go to Watkins Glen, or some other road course, but will lose interest fast when it's the typical oval track.

I do respect the drivers. It's not like it is easy or anyone could do it, but I think the whole thing has turned retarded over the past decade due to Speed channel.

Here is my rant:

Speed Channel used to show a variety of different racing (speed vision), but now it's about 60-70% Nascar content...10% Racing other than Nascar (5% of that being monster trucks/MotoX)..20% non-racing content (auctions, car shows, etc).

And it's not even Nascar racing that is televised...it's the dumbass pre-race/post-race shows that play for about 8-10 hours a day. Seriously? It's fucking stupid. Let's see some racing.
They need to just call it "NASCAR Channel" and then make another Channel with everything else (Speed Channel 2 or something)

I just want it to show: WRC, ALMS, Grand-Am, World Challenge and any other series that features cars going Left/Right and braking utilized.

id like it if it were like back in the day. oem based cars with oem based motors things that could be duplicated... you sure wouldnt see taruses and such being used.

i think the performance of the new sports cars is staggering compared to 20/30 years ago..
the muscle car era may have died but we are deffantly in the performance ara in my mind.
their is stock b18 honda civics that can match what the bbc/bbf cars were doing back in the day. and look at the advertised top line sports cars today the numbers and performance they deliver.

idk its a rant im just saying nascar should be more stock car oriented than tube chassie carberated bs.

I agree with you 1x10^15%

yeah who wants to watch hours of racing in circles when they can just watch 1/4 mile races and get just as many wrecks. It takes a longer attention span to watch nascar than drag racing. besides I can nap during Nascar and still see the finish of the race. I can't do that with drag racing. :)
