Congrats to Richard Lelsz and Strictly Performance on running the first 9-second run with a 2011 5.0L Mustang GT.

The shop swapped out the stock six-speed manual trans for a C4 and then he plumbed a direct port nitrous system. Using prototype tuning software, Lelsz threw down 656 rwhp this morning on the dyno.

The white GT features upper and lower control arms, Bogarts all around, and the aforementioned parts.

Tonight during Test And Tune at Houston Raceway Park, Lelsz ran 9.96 at 137 mph right off the trailer! Congrats to the entire team on running so quickly with the shop ride and pushing the boundary even further.

c4 with a transbrake and a stall must be shootin a 300 to make those numbers. wonder how many 9 sec passes the 5.OOH will hold together.

With Direct port nitrous. I bet he was running less than a 200 shot. Rods I don't think would hold up to a 300 shot.

The highest rwhp on the 5.0 with every bolt on is 415 through a 6 speed. 415 - 35 (for c4 with stall)= 380rwhp. 656-380= 276rwhp of power adder somewhere

That is a really nice track. I was down there working after the Hurricane two years ago. One of our supplier had a badass camaro and invited me to come hang out.
