Insanely clean 646 RWHP Daily Driver 01 Lightning

Was told to post this here

*** PLEASE NOTE I DO NOT WANT TO SELL OR TRADE THIS AS I JUST GOT IT BUT A) IT WON'T FIT IN MY GARAGE AND I CAN'T BARE TO LET IT SIT OUTSIDE and B) I DRIVE IT 60 MILES DAILY AND I'M GETTING KILLED ON GAS lol***

I'm pretty sure I have a deal in place to trade the truck but here goes anyway.

This is probably the most ridiculous daily drivable truck you will come across. Many reputable people including Rick at Amazon can vouch for this truck being legit. I'll keep the description fairly limited and assume that if you are seriously interested you'll inquire about more minute details. The truck has 97k original miles but it shows like a 20k mile truck and EVERYTHING that matters has much less than 20k miles on it. Receipts and dyno sheets available. No expense was spared in the building of this truck. It's taken first place trophies including best lightning at Mustang week. Will consider trades but NO junk. Some details:

Silver 01 F-150 SVT Lightning
Black and grey suede interior

MOTOR:

Injected Engineering pro race 5.4 long block
ARP 12 point head and main studs
Federal mogul tri metal bearings
Manley H Beam rods w/ ARP 2000 bolts
Manley pistons
FRPP crankshaft
CNC and hand ported stage 3 heads w/ spun valves and radius 5 angle valve job
bronze valve guides
Manley oversize stainless steel valves
Billet oil pump gears
Billet trigger wheel
Complete ford gasket kit
Comp cams custom grind billet blower cams
ARP cam bolt
ARP balancer bolt
Moroso deep sump aluminum oil pan
FRPP high volume oil pump
Ported lower Intake manifold
NGK TR6 plugs
Custom painted valve covers
twin flex-a-lite electric fans

INDUCTION:

2.6 Kenne Bell with 2 pulley and belts (currently making 18lbs of boost on street tune)
JLP Power tube and cold air kit
SCT 2800 mass air
Kenne Bell big oval throttle body

EXHAUST:

kooks long tube headers
Bassani x pipe
Flowmaster big block catback

DRIVETRAIN:

built transmission
FTVB
2400 neil chance stall converter
FMS 3:73 gears

MISC:
full fuel system
bed mounted ice resevoir
twin marine trunk mounted batteries
Autometer boost, fuel pressure, wideband A/F
Scan gauge
SCT 6 position flip chip
sound system
custom painted accents
Fiberglass bed cover

the list goes on and on and on. As I said if you're serious you can contact me for further details. I don't have time for tire kickers either. Serious inquiries only please. There is triple what I'm asking invested in this truck and it stops traffic when it's out in town. Truck has run 10.90's before! Still has all the comforts of a daily driver like cruise and cold AC.

Why do I feel like that plate was on a mustang at one point. Nice truck though. GLWS.

+1. Might want to delete that part of your post. You had me interested until I seen Amazon.

They are in Pendelton, SC and best I can tell have performed rectal exams on a few of the members on here.

oh ok, so up by clemson area folks then. just curious as i've been just starting to hunt for a shop that does dyno/tuning in charleston and been trying to learn the good/bad ones is all.

anyway, back on topic lol.

BigdaddyDupree 10-04-2010 09:43 AM

I've been treated very well by Rick and the folks at amazon. I'd rather not turn this into a pissing match as it's easy to find horror stories about every shop or tuner if you dig enough. You're more than welcome to inspect the truck or take it to someone you trust. Either way please respect the nature of this thread. I don't think I'm being unfair by asking that much

very true. i have had a couple of shops fuck my stuff up. i finally found a good engine man and tuner. the truck looks good and if i were in the market .i would buy it. good luck with the sale.

Don't ask me, ask 80% of this forum that speak from personal experience. When you have a shop and the locals all say you are shit, you most likely have a couple corn's sticking out and smell like a turd.

Nice truck though, hopefully Rick hasn't molested it and it actually does what its supposed to do. Can't say I didn't warn him about posting that up on here, cause I tried.

It seam's to be a nice truck and there's no 2.6 KB trucks around here. I would hate to see it leave the area, and I'd like to see it run at one of our local tracks.

what kind of HP/TQ/ET would a truck like that do?

Properly tuned, high 600's HP and mid/low 700's tq. ET again that would depend on tune, weight and traction but its not unheard of for a truck like that to run mid to low 6's at 102-104 MPH and mid to low 10's in the 130's boost only and be fully Daily driveable with AC PS and 5000 lb towing capacity. Technically, that truck should easily do all of that or better.

Unfortunatly, most of them are tuned by tuners that I wouldn't let tune my lawnmower and are typically stuck in the mid to low 7's.

The OP says 649 HP and 10.90's et, just in comparison trucks with smaller blowers (2.3 liter) around here have made more HP and ET'd in the 10.50's. I would assume the tune for that Big Bore KB 2.6 is extremely conservative if it only ran 10.90's there's some of them in the 9's on boost. That is a verry good blower, much more impressive to me than the larger 3.4 whipple.

I have a dyno sheet for 646/912 right in front of me. That was on a 3" upper with 110

If it made that much TQ and that little HP its rich, thats safe, but there's alot more on the table.

Rich= TQ on these trucks.

yes sir, it's def tuned safely on the rich side. Much prefer that than lean. Just goes to show there's more available

WWhittle 10-05-2010 12:08 AM

I love when I see someone say rich is safe!!

All depends on how rich and what context, if its 10.0-11.0 in closed loop your right. When I say rich What I mean is (in supercharged or turbo) 11.5-12.0 in closed loop. Lean to me is 12.5 up.

There's also open loop, where being too rich will do more harm, but again it would all depend on how much.

If he's making that much TQ, he's way rich, and if its tuned by Rick it doesn't surprise me and its probably all messed up, and that would explain why it has a built transmission as well, that's usually the first thing to go with his tunes.
